NTN Encore Question of September 6th, 2008.
Played at The Squire & Firkin in Etobicoke, Ontario.
Answers:
Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Rob COSMO, Sean METLCA and Phil PLBAAB.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...ROCKET...5000/5000...1st/6...our four boards win this round. ............LITBOX...5000/5000...1st/6...We had to guess one answer for something about the proper name for the piano. Phil got that one for us but than had to start all over at the end of the round as someone was on his frequency. OnBeat...ROCKET...14000/14000...1st/7...I go 9 for 9 and our four boards win this round. .............LITBOX...14000/14000...1st/7...I needed help from Rob for three of these answers as I haven't had time to keep up on current affairs. Jukebox...ROCKET...19151/20000...4th/7...METLCA wins round. ............LITBOX...19191/20000...2nd/7...good marks on this round until the final question which required we know the lyrics to Neil Sedaka's 'Calendar Girl'. The category theme was 'time' as in minutes, hours, days, months etc. Triviaoke...ROCKET...25734/28000...3rd/7...COSMO wins round. .............LITBOX...25813/28000...2nd/7...I take one -250 in this round.

Now the Encore answers come up. Female singers. I don't know the last three singers too well. This could be tough.
Encore Question:...Who has been a backing singer for Michael Jackson, Don Henley, and George Harrison?

.
I know which one of these sang with Michael Jackson and say the answer and Rob knows it too. It was before she was famous in the 'Bad' album era I've heard before.
Correct Answer:....2. Sheryl Crow
[NTN Extra Fact:...Before she hit it big Sheryl also sang on the cult classic TV show "Cop Rock".]
It took me until I got home to think about Patty Smyth but that was actually a duet with Don Henley.
I'm right and stay at 2nd as LITBOX at 38719. I finish 11th for all North America. The bar is 5th in NA on the Network Top 20 with a 36482 average. Too bad Phil had to start all over again in the OnBeat round or our average would have had us up a few more places. I earn 3000+ points for making this week's standard of 16000 points. Rob finishes 2nd on the Network Top 20 and 2nd on this bar's Hall of Fame.
(NTN.com kept us in 5th place out of 1647 bars)
I came here by streetcar and subway after being down at BMO Field to watch the MLS soccer game. Toronto FC had to make nine changes to their regular lineup because of players being away on World Cup qualifying duty. I was cheering hardest for a fill-in player who came from one of the minor leagues that I follow. Toronto ended up losing. Worse though was the Canadian national team lost to Honduras in Montreal and is really out of World Cup qualifying after just two of the first six games. I didn't object when the television was switched five minutes early to the PPV of Ultimate Fighting. I just left as I don't like the new NTN game 'Know Your Server'.
Here's how the rest of the bar did: Player preEncore Final Rank ntn.com rank COSMO 26793 40189 6 6 LITBOX 25818 38719 11 11 ROCKET 25734 38601 14 14 METLCA 25048 37572 31 30 PLBAAB 18222 27333 278 279 SATIN 4000 x 2000 5800 5084 RAFA 3000 x 1500 6363 5596 (ntn.com listed 7368 players)
