NTN Encore Question of April 5th, 2008.
Played at The Frog & Firkin in North York, Ontario.
Answers:
Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX, with Tom CUE, Richard BERGIE, and Harry SUPER (usually THEMAN but didn't change the board he was given the game before). The usual guys I play with were at The Squire & Firkin this week as we usually rotate but I warned them I'd be here because of wanting to see the band upstairs--Loose Wire.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...ROCKET...4500/5000...3rd/8...BERGIE and CUE win with 5000. ...........LITBOX...4500/5000...3rd/8...I shouldn't have had to guess on the one I didn't know if I'd thought about it another second longer because I've seen Entertainment Tonight before. OnBeat...ROCKET...10500/14000...2nd/8...BERGIE wins with 8 right and 1 wrong. ..........LITBOX...10500/14000...2nd/8...I go 6 for 9 in this round with two other players and was disappointed. JukeBox...ROCKET...16500/20000...2nd/9...my two boards go perfect and sweep this round. ...........LITBOX...16500/20000...2nd/9...Another player down the bar gives us the Cinderella song before the answers come up. Triviaoke...ROCKET...24473/28000...2nd/9...ROCKET wins round. ...........LITBOX...24454/28000...3rd/9...I don't take any -250 scores this round and sweep easily through this round.

Now the Encore answers come up. Television shows? These shows aren't even famous for their music. Someone mentions that SWAT made Number 1. Yeah that's right. Canada had a different group take it to the top. [US was Rhythm Heritage and Canada was THP Orchestra]. I was thinking of Lorne Greene's #1 song 'Ringo'. Don't know much about the others.
Encore Question:...Dan Blocker, Michael Landon, and Lorne Greene sang a lyric version of which show's theme song?

I know this by the second word of the question. I'd say in our group, we all do. This is more like something we'd get in the television games before or after this game. OK. We'll take it. I've actually heard them sing this song on some nostagia special.
Correct Answer:....2. Bonanza
[NTN Extra Fact:...I missed it as I was getting ready to go upstairs and hear the band...]

I need a lot of help in this game.
9:00pm...Playback (see above).
10:00pm...RetroTV Countdown...didn't play this game as I went upstairs to see the band. I missed their opening numbers as I was finishing the last game.
I think we put up enough high scores for my other friends at the Squire & Firkin to see us.
Loose Wire playing at The Frog & Firkin. They played 50s and 60s rock and blues songs. This was the band's first gig together after forming within the last six weeks. They were great!
The guitarist and bass player hadn't played on stage together for 35 years. They were in the band Copper Penny back in the 1970s.
Bill on bass and shares lead vocals. We know him as MADDOG in the NTN games.
Upstairs watching the band play, I saw many NTN players from my Hannibals and Joe Grinders days, many I hadn't seen for many years.
