Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX, with Rob COSMO/PLBAAB and Sean METLCA. Phil had stopped in earlier tonight to say hello but he left for a party.

OnBeat...ROCKET...11500/14000...1st/8...our group's five boards win round and take lead. ..........LITBOX...11500/14000...1st/8...we had 7 right and 2 wrong which was OK with me...Two more weeks and I start getting Billboard magazine by mail. The store where I used to buy it closed its doors earlier this month. JukeBox...ROCKET...17450/20000...3rd/8...METLCA wins round. ...........LITBOX...17450/20000...3rd/8. We sweep through this category by me picking 'one hit wonders' and '1972'. Triviaoke...ROCKET...23598/28000...2nd/8...my two boards win round. ...........LITBOX...23598/28000...2nd/8...we took one -250 score this round and got the rest of them for almost full marks. I don't remember seeing a currently charted song as the last question this week.

Now the Encore answers come up. Grunge bands? Well not INXS. The whole game we were thinking the Encore would be very difficult because the rest of the game had been easy. We were missing Phil who'd be the expert on this question.

I'm right and stay in 2nd with both my boards at 35397. I finish 154th in all North America. The bar is 118th in North America. I earn 3000+ points for making this week's standard of 20000. METLCA wins with 35421 and is 7th on this bar's Hall of Fame.

It appears that other bars didn't find the game difficult either. Plenty of questions about Dave Grohl have been asked before or revealing his link to Nirvana in the factoids after questions. 'One Hit Wonders' in the JukeBox round found yet another way to ask The Buggles=Video Killed The Radio Star. The Triviaoke and JukeBox games were much harder and we couldn't reach 10000 on either of them but got our bar into the Top 20. The Encore could have been much tougher if they'd ask for the drummer in any of the other bands except the Foo Fighters and INXS on the Encore question. We had trouble in the JukeBox game guessing the drummer for the Animals.
