Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Rob COSMO, Sean METLCA (he's back) and Phil PLBAAB at The Frog & Firkin.

This was the round I was afraid of because I haven't kept up with the music scene for the last month. I knew the city but I couldn't name the hotel of where the MTV Music Awards would be. One other I guessed right just from a name I'd rushed through earlier today. My friends got me another one. Bon Jovi questions were to match songs with albums which I'm not good at even though I own these albums. I took two -250s this round right on the first two questions being steered away by my friends but then they got me two later on which I would have missed. I got the last question; a modern song by Sean Kingston to pull just over the 20000 before the Encore.

I had mentally ruled out Five For Fighting which was a term for a penalty in a hockey game. Before the question came up I said out loud that Toad The Wet Sprocket was from a Monty Python skit (I don't know which one). When the question came up I immediately said "They Might Be Giants" but then thought for a few seconds that was a movie title. Hey Bananarama could be The Banana Splits. I told them to change. Then I remember the song (or more likely reading about the song) "Pyjamarama" and knew I was right. Yep I've got this fact from the three sentence biography in my Joel Whitburn book. Just hadn't read it for awhile.

We know nothing about NASCAR but I know even less than them. My strategy was to answer something then get ready to change on the third answer to get 20 points.
