NTN Encore Question of June 30th, 2007.

Answers:

  1. Pebbles
  2. Brenda K. Starr
  3. Tiffany
  4. Debbie Gibson
  5. Martika

I wasn't playing this week. Sean had said last week he wouldn't be playing. I got an e-mail from Rob saying both he and Phil would be going to a barbecue. That would leave me playing solo which wasn't so bad except I saw that I was shuffling a PVR and VCR to record and watch the FIFA Under 20 tournament and the Copa America. It turned out staying home was a good thing as we had one of those one second brownouts which flicks out the lights and cut off my PVR so I would have missed a game without knowing it if I'd gone out. I did have a second chance for the missed game as it was rebroadcast...then I used my VCR to get the concert for Princess Diana the next afternoon.
Thanks to Steven/SEKA from the Playback message board for the recap.

I don't think I would have done too bad until the Triviaoke round but with no help, 20000 before the Encore question would have been a possibility.

Correct Answer:....3. Tiffany

Extra Fact:...The album included the #1 hits "I Think We're Alone Now" and "Could've Been".

Nuts I would have had this one. I would have eliminated it down to 50-50 between Tiffany and Debbie Gibson in two seconds than would have had to think hard BUT knowing that I saw Tiffany's new album ["Just Me"] in the store two weeks ago then read about it on the Billboard site and linked to her site and played the clip and read a brief bio while waiting for it to load and the way the quizmasters often ask a question about an artist trying a comeback (like a few years ago after Tiffany's album "The Color Of Silence" came out and that was the Encore question). These things would have easily tipped my guess over to Tiffany.

Next week I expect I'll be at a soccer game in person for the local league I cover. It's one of the few Saturday night games the CSL League play all season..
