Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Sean METLCA, Rob COSMO, and Phil PLBAAB. It turns out we're really the only ones playing this game.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...ROCKET...2500/5000...2nd/6...THEMAN wins with 3500. ..........LITBOX...2500/5000...2nd/6. I go about 4 for 8 in guessing the answers I don't know. It was the worst TuneUp round I can remember. It wasn't my guessing that was so bad, it was the point that I only 'knew' 1 or 2 of the questions without having to guess. I was actually going to change an answer but it was too late to register or I would have had 500 less. OnBeat...ROCKET...8500/14000...2nd/6...METLCA wins with 7 right, 2 wrong and is in lead with 9000. ..........LITBOX...8500/14000...2nd/6. I was 6 right and 3 wrong for this wrong which was OK with me because I hadn't had time to keep up with current music news in the last month. I got my friends to go for 'The Beach Boys' categories and I didn't let them down. Triviaoke...ROCKET...19582/28000...4th/6...METLCA wins round. .........LITBOX...19602/28000...3rd/6. I took only one -250 in this round so was happy at the end. I was a split second from changing my wrong answer but it didn't register my change. A nice comeback from a poor start.

Sean has said 'Asia' before the answers come back up. I agree with that. I didn't know they recorded that many albums and expect that 'Asia' was the name of their first. There were a few outerspace-landscape covers I remember. I know enough about ABBA, Alabama, and America to put them out. What is Abraxas? That's bothering me. Were they like The Ohio Players or some Latin-Funk band? I start thinking about that and then change my answer to '2' and it convinces Sean to change his answer.

We had an Asia question earlier tonight.
I look in my music book after I'm home. There isn't a group called Abraxas but there was a Santana album of that name. My timing was off as I usually go with my first instincts and don't change. Three changes in this game and the last one was the worst. I should have had this Encore.
I'm wrong and fall to 4th with LITBOX at 9801. I finish 6847th in North America. The bar is 950th in North America. I earn only 1500+ points for not making this week's standard of 21000 points. [ntn.com moved us up to 56th out of 1842 bars with a 17220 average].
If we'd have got this right, our group would have made the Top 20. Individually, we'd have needed more than 31000 so we weren't close. We'll have to improve everywhere to come close to those standards again.
