Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Rob COSMO, Sean METLCA and Phil PLBAAB (who just arrived in time to take over a board by the second TuneUp question).
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...ROCKET...4000/5000...3rd/5...METLCA and PLBAAB win with 4500. ..........LITBOX...4000/5000...3rd/5. I went 2 for 4 in guessing. OnBeat...ROCKET...10000/14000...4th/5...COSMO wins with 7 right and 2 wrong. The rest are 6 and 3. ..........LITBOX...10000/14000...4th/5. 6 right and 3 wrong was a disappointment now that I'm getting better at this round of current events. Two of my 'right' answers were for news items I hadn't even heard. Maybe it was a year end dumping ground for questions not previously used. My mind was cued up by missing the Fred Astaire song in a previous round. I thought of the song "Puttin' On The Ritz" when I saw the name Rockefeller as I'd heard the song just a month ago by the artist Taco who updated it in the 1980s. Well tell the others at my table. I couldn't get the exact place in the song that mentioned the family, just the part of 'million dollar trooper...look like Gary Cooper'. OK we're all in.
