Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Rob COSMO/PLBAAB and Sean METLCA giving us the minimum five boards to rank our bar. It's taken a long time to get a monitor switched to NTN Trivia games because every screen not showing the hockey game was showing the new NTN Poker which is what the regulars were playing. Finally one was changed over in a far corner so we migrated over there.
Although the Toronto Maple Leafs got beaten by Ottawa Senators 8-0, I've been thinking nicer thoughts of the owners MLSE (Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment) because they are putting up some of their money along with three levels of government money to ensure construction of a soccer stadium in Toronto in time for the 2007 FIFA Men's Under 20 tournament and an MLS franchise that same year run by MLSE.

I left my notes at home but since I only wrote them out earlier in the day from Billboard Online news, it was easy enough to remember. Two questions about the Michael Jackson video Thrilller vs the category Chiller. That was the idea. Triviaoke...ROCKET...22233/28000...4th/5...COSMO wins round. .........LITBOX...22226/28000...5th/5. I took about 3 -250s in this round; one more than the others took although they called it out but I didn't change my answer.

Oooh...easy! We mentioned this before the question came up. Rob had never heard it so I spent most of the 30 seconds humming it. I remember when this came out back in 1973 about a year after I got my own radio. Are they finally making the Encore's easier. Last week I noticed on their site they were down to only 4000 players which is quite a falling off from 8000+ earlier this year. Maybe this video Poker has taken over or maybe it's less people want to spend 50 minutes setting up for a too obscure Encore? Nah, more likely harder to think of some trick question and keep with the Halloween theme.

I'm right and hold my positions in 4th and 5th. I finish 16th and 17th in all North America. The bar is 4th in North America with a 34004 average. COSMO wins and is 7th in North America. He finishes 6th on the bar's Hall Of Fame. Many of my old scores should gradually disappear because I put them up there last Fall when the game was much easier. I earn 3000+ points for making this week's standard of 19000. (ntn.com knocked our bar down to 5th place of 1562 bars).

Next week I plan on checking out "Joe Mercury's". That's the alternate bar that Rob and Sean go to every second week. Guaranteed no Poker on the monitors they said however the bar staff will only give out one board per patron (because they only have nine) and no teamwork between the groups (competitive instinct). I'll have to take the subway to get there.
