Encore Question of September 3rd, 2005.
Played at the Frog & Firkin in North York Ontario.

Answers:

  1. Sukiyaki
  2. All I Really Want To Do
  3. Mr Tambourine Man
  4. Like A Rolling Stone
  5. My Back Pages

Tonight I'm playing with three boards as ROCKET and LITBOX and LNCITY (after London City, a CPSL soccer team who are in a tournament I'm driving to tomorrow about 200 km away in London Ontario). Richard is here playing BERGIE and LISTER, and a stranger playing as SUR who was punching in our answers but then left near the end of the game.

My game so far had gone like this:
TuneUp...ROCKET...4000/5000...4th/6...LNCITY, BERGIE and LISTER co-win round.
..........LITBOX...4000/5000...4th/6.
.........LNCITY...4500/5000...1st/6.
I split on one answer, and get one wrong.
OnBeat...ROCKET...11000/14000...4th/6...all six of our boards co-win round.
..........LITBOX...11000/14000...4th/6.
.........LNCITY...11500/14000...1st/6
7 right and 2 wrong was pretty good in that I hadn't read through my Billboard magazine this week. I
hadn't played back the MTV Video Awards but got the Kelly Clarkson performance costume right because
I've seen the video played on a countdown show.
JukeBox...ROCKET...15224/20000...6th/6...BERGIE wins round.
...........LITBOX...15238/20000...5th/6.
...........LNCITY...15580/20000...4th/6.
Richard wanted the second 'Cheap Trick' question but from a recap, '1986' turned out to be easy.
Triviaoke...ROCKET...16407/28000...6th/6.
.........LITBOX...16442/28000...5th/6.
..........LNCITY...16495/28000...4th/6.
I took about 4 -250s in this round for the second week in a row. I messed up all the new songs. By now SUR had
left and even with him not playing I couldn't pass him even typing in answers I knew would be -250. At the end of
the JukeBox round, I didn't expect to make 20000 but I didn't expect I'd be in danger of losing points.

Now the Encore answers come up. The Byrds and Bob Dylan as their writer?

Encore Question:...This Bob Dylan song was the title track on a 1965 album by Cher:

.

.

.

.

I don't know this. I just know it's just not Sukiyaki which was sung in Japanese. I don't think Cher sang "Like A Rolling Stone". I was actually thinking of The Byrds songs. I choose to go with "My Back Pages". Richard likes "All I Really Want To Do" or "Like A Rolling Stone". He goes with my answer.

Richard says to switch the 6th board to '2' but I'm a fraction of a second too late maybe because I think it'll do better than mine.

Correct Answer:....2. All I Really Want To Do

[NTN Extra Fact:...Cher also sings Bob Dylan's song "Blowin' In The Wind" and "Don't Think Twice" on the album].
Actually I should have got this. I bought the Cher Greatest Hits double CD last year and that song was on here. I could hear her sing this song but was still shaken with what a terrible Triviaoke round I had.

I'm wrong hold my positions. I finish 1430th in all North America. The bar finishes at 1480th with an 8520 average. I earn 1500+ points for missing this week's standard of 15000 points. [ntn.com moved our bar up to 262nd out of 1616 bars].

My other friends had gone to Joe Mercury's and got their bar into 10th place. A correct answer as Richard pointed out, would have got us a Top 20 finish.

Here's how the rest of the bar did:
Player	preEncore	Final	Rank	ntn.com rank
BERGIE	17745	x 8873 781	1551
LISTER	17721	x 8861 793	1554
SUR	16796	x 8398	1274	1700
LNCITY	16495	x 8248	1430	1755
LITBOX	16642	x 8221	1458	1765
ROCKET	16407	x 8204	1476	1772
[ntn.com listed 6343 players]

I didn't expect a Top 20 game for myself. Spinning around in the Triviaoke round meant I was already disappointed. Wow what a great bar rank. Must have had most of the bars split their answers for the individuals to come out ahead of me.

Other games:...I start the evening with ROCKET at 3,279,500 P+ points and LITBOX at 1,080,000.
8:00pm...Countdown...ROCKET...13245/15000...2nd/4...1000+ points...I'm 9th in NA.
.........LITBOX...13292/15000...1st/4...1000+ points...I'm 8th on the Network Top 20 for all North America...bar is 476th.
Richard BERGIE had placed 8th on the 7:30pm Countdown game.
8:30pm...Tuned In Countdown...ROCKET...11608/15000...1st/4...1000+ points...I'm 128th in NA.
..............LITBOX...11605/15000...2nd/4...1000+ points...I'm 129th in NA...bar is 553rd. Lots of help from Richard.
No Simpson's questions. Great!

10:00pm...nope. I went home.
