Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Rob COSMO/PLBAAB and Sean METLCA. We stall out in the Triviaoke round so I'm looking at a pretty mediocre score.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...ROCKET...4000/5000...4th/5...LITBOX, COSMO and METLCA win round. ..........LITBOX...4500/5000...1st/5. I split on one answer, get 2 for 2 in guessing and help on two answers in a round that I found harder than usual. OnBeat...ROCKET...12000/14000...2nd/5...my two boards win. ..........LITBOX...12500/14000...1st/5. 8 right and 1 wrong was a real surprise in that I didn't have internet access all week until hours before this game. I was actually a bit disappointed in that I was half a second from changing an answer to Daddy Yankee but ran out of time. JukeBox...ROCKET...17074/20000...2nd/5...COSMO wins round. ...........LITBOX...17554/20000...1st/5. We got the categories we wanted and did pretty well. Triviaoke...ROCKET...19402/28000...3rd/5...METLCA wins round. .........LITBOX...19863/28000...1st/5. I took about 3 or 4 -250s in this round. I would say it was all the new songs that hurt me but I messed up the lyrics to "Beast Of Burden" and cost Sean a 1000. I've got to find a way of hearing new songs without the endless radio commercials.

I don't know this but have already thrown out Grace Slick before the answers come back. She was famous in the 1960s with Jefferson Airplane. Hey let's keep up the momentum. Madonna looks like the obvious answer but I don't like the decade they've chosen. She wasn't famous until the 1980s although the city is right. I've heard Sheena Easton was discovered as a pop star in Great Britain. Either her native Scotland or some makeover show in England. Using that logic I'd say Bonnie Tyler was discovered in her native Wales. So the decades right for Pat Benatar? Yeah just on the edge, a few years before Madonna. Hey I've got my style back from the old days where I toss the alternatives out one by one!

I didn't expect a Top 20 game for myself. Spinning around in the Triviaoke round meant I was already disappointed. Wow what a great bar rank. Must have had most of the bars split their answers for the individuals to come out ahead of me.

Ahh who switched to this? How can this be deprogrammed for a regular Countdown game? I was glad I could meet the 600 point standard with some lucky guesses, following patterns of previous answers, and getting ready to change with 200 points left.
