Encore Question of July 23rd, 2005.
Played at the Frog & Firkin in North York Ontario.
Answers:
Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Bill MADDOG. We're the only players in this game. I've missed the last two weeks and I have let my knowledge of current music fade as I've been going to soccer games on the weekends and I knew I wouldn't be here. I've brought the last issue of Billboard and have been reading that between rounds. I've got new glasses so I can see the board better without squinting.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...ROCKET...4000/5000...1st/3...ROCKET/LITBOX and MADDOG win round. ..........LITBOX...4000/5000...1st/3. OnBeat...ROCKET...11000/14000...1st/3...my two win round. ..........LITBOX...11000/14000...1st/3. 7 right and 2 wrong was pretty good and really lucky that they asked things I knew. JukeBox...ROCKET...16838/20000...1st/3...MADDOG wins round. ...........LITBOX...16822/20000...2nd/3. I got the categories I wanted. Bill got me the Billy Idol rhyme and the year of "When Smokey Sings" before I would have figured it out. Triviaoke...ROCKET...22191/28000...1st/3...ROCKET wins round. .........LITBOX...22146/28000...2nd/3. I took two -250s this round. I got 2 of 3 lyrics for recently released songs which is a surprise because I usually mess them up.

Now the Encore answers come up. European Dance groups? Hmm song titles or group members? I know some of this.
Encore Question:...Which German trio recorded the 1990's dance hits "Another Night" and "Run Away"?

Great I know this. I've bought the MuchDance series of titles put out by MuchMusic each year for decade now and this group seemed to have a song on their compilations each year. I make sure Bill has this chosen. Probably about the only lines I can sing are the titles. Nope I won't get fooled that their name sounds Scotish or pitching groups that are German and not German and ruling out the Kraftwerk quartet that way. Hmm last week was a dance group too but I wasn't here for that.
Correct Answer:....1. The Real McCoy
[NTN Extra Fact:...The group consisted of Oleg Jeglitza and Patricia Peterson and Vanessa Mason.]
Hey my book lists Lisa Cork instead of Peterson and gives the dates of these songs as reaching #3 in the pop charts as 1994 and 1995.
