ENCORE Question:...Who was the first white solo artist to reach #1 on Billboard's R&B Album Chart?

Correct Answer: 2. GEORGE MICHAEL

I think I would have got this one. I had been reading Billboard magazines by the mid 1980s and had noticed that George Michael hits had been crossing over to the Black charts. While Elvis Presley certainly would sometimes have the same song go to Number 1 on the Pop, Black, and Country charts; they were Singles. If I could have remembered that the Black Album charts didn't start until the 1960s it would have made the choice even easier. Elvis Presley would be too obvious so I would have had at least a split if I'd had two boards.
