Tonight I'm playing with two boards as ROCKET and LITBOX with Rob COSMO and Sean METLCA/CAPER. We both ranked Top 20 in last week's game when they were playing at Joe Mercury's.

METLCA wins with 5000. ..........LITBOX...4500/5000...2nd/10. one guess for me about Courtney Love first or second marriage when she married Kurt Cobain and I missed it. OnBeat...ROCKET...10500/14000...1st/10...LITBOX wins round. ..........LITBOX...11500/14000...2nd/10. While it looks like I split, they called me off the right answer but I could only change one board in time. Otherwise, 7 out of 9. JukeBox...ROCKET...16500/20000...2nd/10...my two boards co-win round with COSMO. ...........LITBOX...17500/20000...1st/10. Great. I ran the category here for a perfect round for the second week in a row. Triviaoke...ROCKET...21823/28000...2nd/8...LITBOX wins round. .........LITBOX...22828/28000...1st/8. I took two -250s and was saved from some more by Sean and Rob. Best point was when I realized that I couldn't drop below 20000. Wow this round has got tough.

Now the Encore answers come up. The female stars of the Brady Bunch. What could this be? Well I say there was a band named "Eve's Plum". Rob says Susan Dey wasn't in The Brady Bunch. Hmm. I didn't notice her name up there.

I don't know this. Rob says it's Maureen McCormack. I don't know his reasoning and I'll ask that later. I split like I've done the last few weeks. My other board covers Florence Henderson as I've heard her sing in the Wesson food oil commercial and thought she'd been on Broadway. My second choice might have been Ann B Davis because I thought she'd maybe done a gospel album when I read about her Christian beliefs. I split the wrong way though as I have the boards left-right of what I usually do.

I'm right on my lower ranked ROCKET board and win with 32734. I finish 10th in all North America for the second week in a row. The bar finishes 14th in all North America with a 25014 average. (if I hadn't split I could have finished higher for myself and a lot better for the bar). I earn 3000+ points for ROCKET. (LITBOX only earned 1500+ for missing this week's 17000 point standard). [ntn.com kept us in 14th out of 1989 bars.]
C'mon! A score like this being the 10th best in North America (top 100 after multi boards from other boards are considered) shows the Encore's are far too difficult. Who knows how many other players 'split' to make sure they were right? Haha. same comment unchanged from last week!

He did better in this than the rerun Tuned-In game we played earlier! They also tortured a player who logged into Sean's frequency and changed his CAPER board. Only thing is the player was so bad anyway that he wouldn't have done much better without his 'help'. Good thing it happened after Playback was over.
We agreed to meet again here in two weeks. Next week I'll be here but playing with whoever I can up at the bar.
