Tonight I'm playing with Rob COSMO and Phil PLBAAB for the first time in a few years. I've using two boards ROCKET and LITBOX but we never got around to getting a fifth board so our bar score suffered. I'm at a booth with them and I get a waitress to change one of the closer monitors to NTN about 45 minutes before Playback starts because I have to squint to see one in the distance. Ok that's better.

I go 9 for 9 in this round. I was calling out all the answers, most of them before they were displayed however I only got a perfect score because Rob knew Counting Crows were nominated for an Oscar. I got outvoted on a few of the categories although I ended up getting the answers fast on those toughies like Contemporary Jazz. Rob and Phil must have been playing around. A future album by Queens of The Stone Age was an answer but Rob was were sure one of the clues threw out the Stones answer then it came back. Well Ice Cube is in a movie now in "Are We There Yet" which is Number One at the box office. I'm thinking of Ice T because I thought they may ask about his side group Body Count so I jump in with my answer as I know he's been in quite a few movies. I'd know enough about Will Smith to know it's not him nor Ice Cube and Puff Daddy hasn't been in any/enough movies. Rob offers LL Cool J, then Phil offers the same answer. I won't split and I have no good reason to stay with mine. Ok I switch with plenty of time to spare.

I'm right and win as ROCKET with 36628. I finish 9th in North America. The bar finishes 16th in North America with a 30603 average (too bad we didn't have a fifth board). Half hour later I was asking Phil what he did for a living. One of his jobs is at a video store. Ahh if I'd known that I would have bowed to him a lot sooner on the Encore question! A movie expert and Rob knowing Country artists. If we could team up week after week, we could chase down those super teams that have eight brains, fourteen boards that win week after week! Well we don't take attendance but I tell them I'll be here every Saturday, all going well, until at least May when the soccer season starts.
