Makes up for missing the Alicia Keys question in the last round singing BEFORE this year's Superbowl game. I thought I'd read about this song from the liner notes from my Joan Jett greatest hits CD. [nope, not mentioned. I must have read that somewhere else]. I put in '1' as something's sunk into my mind years ago linking her with the John Cougar Mellencamp song and the nickname for the firecrackers I used to be able to buy. Plenty of time to rethink. Ok I know the songs by Bananarama and The Bangles and this wasn't one of them (well greatest hits anyway). A new band like The Donnas and Babes In Toyland wouldn't be considered 'influential' so soon after starting out right? No I'm not changing.

Hmm my music book lists Joan Jett, Lita Ford, and Michael Steele coming out of this band. Yeah. That's right. I was reading something about The Bangles last month and it mentioned the connection ie. Michael Steele was the bass player for The Runaways and The Bangles.

I take the subway home too as I might as well spend the energy from walking home to see if I should shovel my driveway for the third time today but the turnstile clicks me through before I even drop my token through so I ride home for free.
