I didn't play this week. I wasn't sure the place was open and hadn't bothered to check. It turns out the bar is only closed one day a year and that's Christmas Day. I was driving my parents around the neighbourhood looking at the Christmas lights on people's houses.

I wouldn't have known this. The song "Curmudgeon" I read before and now I'm reminded of the Nirvana box set I saw in stores in the last few weeks but didn't buy. None of the songs except "Sliver" which was on their albums 'Incesticide' and 'From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah' were on any albums until this box set. (had to look that fact up in a music book). Now if I read "Sliver" as "Silver" then I'd have more trouble with the Canadian band 'Moist'.
