  4. Simple Plan
  5. New Found Glory

Tonight I'm playing with two boards, ROCKET and LITBOX with Bill MADDOG and Marlo ZIGGY.

My game so far had gone like this:
TuneUp...ROCKET...4500/5000...2nd/4...LITBOX wins round.
..........LITBOX...5000/5000...1st/4...I split on one answer about whether Jennifer Lopez sang in the movie Selena
because Marlo was sure she did but I had my doubts.
OnBeat...ROCKET...11500/14000...2nd/4...my two co-win round with MADDOG.
..........LITBOX...12000/14000...1st/4.
I score 7 right and 2 wrong. I couldn't guess Ringo Starr from the list of females hawking perfume. I missed
one other but had read something about the rest within the last week or two. Bill kept Marlo's board running
in this round.
JukeBox...ROCKET...15590/20000...2nd/4...ZIGGY wins round. Country music is Marlo's favourite and
the Canadian category was an obvious choice for us. Marlo gets us the Dixie Chicks lyric which was once
an Encore question.
...........LITBOX...16107/20000...1st/4.
Triviaoke...ROCKET...21665/28000...2nd/4...ROCKET wins round.
.........LITBOX...20035/28000...1st/4....no -250 answers this round although one for less than 100.
Marlo got us good marks on a Whitney Houston song.

Now the Encore answers come up. Well I should know two of these groups.

Encore Question:...Pierre Bouvier provides vocals for this punk pop band:

Got it! I was talking to Dougie when I first got here tonight and saying how the week before I'd bought Simple Plans new album but hadn't played it yet. I'd meant to look back at their first album today to get their names . Then before this Encore question I told Bill about Simple Plan "Some of the guys have French names so watch this (question) be members of the band...they're from Montreal". Hey there 'Pierre', can't get more French than that! This was a Canadian themed game after all. Celine Dion came from a large family in the Tune Up. Sarah McLachlan and The Guess Who as answers to Canadian category of JukeBox, then a Bryan Adams song lyric in Triviaoke.

Correct Answer:....4. Simple Plan

[NTN Extra Fact:...The Canadian quintet was formed in Montreal in the late 1990's.]

I'm right and win as LITBOX with 33252. I finish 12th in all North America. I earn 3000 Players Plus points for meeting this week's 19000 standard. The bar finishes 17th in North America with a 24346 average. [ntn.com kept us in 12th place out of 1940 bars]. Pretty good for only using four boards. My score tonight put me Number 3 in our Hall of Fame (all as LITBOX) because this was only the fourth time these new playmakers had ever played this game!

Here's how the rest of the bar did:
Player	preEncore	Final	Rank	ntn.com rank
LITBOX	22168 33252 17 57
ROCKET	21665 32497 24 68
ZIGGY	19064 28596 41 110
MADDOG	18259 27388 47 129
[ntn.com listed 9321 players]
