Tonight I'm playing with three boards, ROCKET, LITBOX and THNDER (named after the CPSL team Hamilton Thunder). Richard BERGIE/GHQ was working two boards so we had our five boards for a bar ranking. I wasn't doing too good tonight as I'd got three wrong in the OnBeat round and took three
-250s on Triviaoke so needed the last Triviaoke question to bring two of my boards to 20000 points.

One of my wrong answers I'd just read an ad today for Australian groups but didn't recall the album title by The Living End. Richard was talking with some women at the first table away from the bar and one of them offered the Billy Idol answer for the theme of one of his videos that I wasn't sure of. Also she jumped in with the lyric for Idol's song "Eyes Without A Face" as soon as it came up. Over the years I've forgotten that they were different people.
Now the Encore answers come up. Oh oh! I don't know some of these groups. This could make it tough to keep my 'Correct Answer' Encore streak going for 13 games in a row.

I don't know this. I've only heard of three groups so I discard Comanche and Fiddle Faddle thinking this last band name is a joke. I'd have heard about the Aerosmith song so that leaves two. I've heard of Switchfoot and think again of the late 2003 date. I've got my March 20th issue of Billboard magazine here but won't have a chance to look through it in 30 seconds. I tell Richard I'm going for '1'. I think that Pavement was an answer or a choice recently. The quiz writers wouldn't use '2' again would they?

I couldn't find this song on any of the pop chart lists from Billboard from late last year. I found their album "The Beautiful Letdown" on the Albums charts and them listed on the year end charts for one of the Top Christian Albums and as one of the Top Christian Artists of 2003.
I'm right and win with LITBOX at 30571. I finish 277th overall for all North America. I earn 3000+ Players Plus points for meeting this week's standard of 17000 points. The bar finishes 15th in North America with a 28633 average. Hey that's great and comparable with our position last week. Must have been that tough Encore question. Although I may feel that I didn't play very well, I have to remember that every other bar is playing the same game. Best bar/player was only 37-38000 something.
