Tonight I'm playing Playback with my two boards all alone. There's a Leafs hockey game and game six of the baseball World Series that's brought in a crowd but not NTN players.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...ROCKET...5000/5000...1st/5...my two boards win round. ...........LITBOX...5000/5000...1st/5...the other three players have 2000. OnBeat...ROCKET...10000/14000...1st/5...my two boards win round. ..........LITBOX...10000/14000...1st/5. 5 right and 4 wrong and one of my rights was a guess. Most of these questions were more difficult than "this artist's new album is called: ______". OK I may not reach 20000. JukeBox...ROCKET...15069/20000...1st/7...my two boards win round. ...........LITBOX...15069/20000...1st/7...I got most of the categories I wanted. The categories had a Halloween theme but the questions weren't anything along that theme. "'Creep' was a song by TLC" was an example. Triviaoke...ROCKET...21685/28000...2nd/6...LITBOX wins round as I couldn't keep my fingers in synch. ...........LITBOX...21698/28000...2nd/6...I took one -250 for a Red Hot Chili Pepper lyric, the third time that group has cost me but this was not as bad as the two Encores this year. Good recovery but shouldn't be a Top 20 score.
Now the Encore answers come up. I should be able to get this but that's what I thought last week. Oh oh. Two Playmaker boards have just been returned to the bar. Now we're down to four boards.

Yes I know this! So much for going back through my web page and mapping out this year's Encore answers. There hasn't been the overall favourtism of '1' answers in 2003 until the last few months. They have only gone for the same number three weeks in a row once this year. None of this matters when you own the song.
This may be one of a very few songs that I own on three different CDs. I picked up "Smash Hits (Magazine) '94" and "Ultimate Dance Hits 94", both 40 song double albums from a big delete/second hand store over a year ago and within the last three weeks when I bought "The R. In R&B Collection Volume 1" greatest hits package. I have time to get over to the table where a couple are playing and eating a late dinner too and give them the answer. Good thing as they were going to answer wrong.

The song was out in North America in 1992 and made number 59 in the charts. I never heard it until many years later. It must have come out one or two years later in England where these CDs were from but made Number 5 on their charts according to the liner notes.
I'm right and win with LITBOX with 32547. I finish 14th on the Network Top 20 in all North America. I earn 3000+ Players Plus points for meeting this week's standard of 16000. The bar finishes 525th in North America. We only needed 18547 to be in the Top 20 bars which meant this question must have been more difficult than I thought. [ntn.com raised our position to 81st of 1741 bars].
