Played at The Frog & Firkin in North York Ontario.

Answers:

  1. Mase
  2. Tupac
  3. Warren G
  4. Nororious BIG
  5. Ja Rule

Tonight I'm playing with Richard BERGIE/WTF and working three boards (ROCKET/LITBOX/FLAMES-for the CPSL league Durham Flames soccer team) so we can have five boards for our bar average. During JukeBox, Dave VADER (a player I'd noticed before from the old Joe Grinders bar days) arrived and joined us at the bar but started 11,500 behind.

My game so far had gone like this:
TuneUp...ROCKET...4500/5000...1st/7...my three boards plus BERGIE and WTF win round.
..........LITBOX...4500/5000...1st/7.
..........FLAMES...4500/5000...1st/7.
OnBeat...ROCKET...11500/14000...1st/7...my three win round with 7 right, 2 wrong.
..........LITBOX...11500/14000...1st/7.
..........FLAMES...11500/14000...1st/7.
Round was OK but I could have been better if I'd read some more about Country music.
JukeBox...ROCKET...17468/20000...1st/8...ROCKET and LITBOX win round.
..........LITBOX...17468/20000...1st/8.
..........FLAMES...17135/20000...3rd/8...couldn't keep a third board going as fast with
two hands.
Triviaoke...ROCKET...21561/28000...1st/9...BERGIE wins round.
..........LITBOX...21561/28000...1st/9.
..........FLAMES...20866/28000...5th/9...I might have taken about two -250s in this round
and made a few switches to avoid some more so not as bad as last week.

The answers come up and I'm worried that I don't know much about Rap music. I never finished a list of rappers 'real names' and their songs and arrest records aren't my speciality. Oh well in with 50% as usual.

Encore Question:...Who reached his commercial peak with the album "Harlem World"

.

.

I blurt out the answer before the answers come back up. No consideration for spoiling everyone else's fun. I own that album but haven't played it yet after picking it up in the $5 bin late last year. Everyone's answered? Now we just have to wait 25 seconds and find out we're right...

Correct Answer:...1 Mase

[NTN Extra Fact:...The retired rapper's 1997 album has sold more than 4 million copies.]

I found the Extra Fact trickier than the question because I didn't realize he'd retired. HESEUS was within earshot but the other two players must have known it too.

My two P+ boards win with scores of 32341 each (synchronized fingers!) but I'm glad I had a third board to keep the bar in for top 20 ranking. I finish 762nd in NA on each board. The bar finishes 15th in North America with a 32009 average. I earn 3000+ Player's Plus points for meeting this week's standard of 19000.

Here's how the rest of the bar did:
Player	preEncore	Final	Rank	NTN.com rank
ROCKET	21561 32341 762 118
LITBOX	21561 32341 762 119
BERGIE	21374 32061 842 127
WTF	21377 32005 858 131
FLAMES	20866 31299	1060 150
BC	12359 18539	4704	1048
VADER 9484 14226	5936	1711
KERIN 9031 13547	6130	1862
HESEUS 1105 1657	9526	9492	of 11103 players
