I started the evening playing all alone as the bar was almost empty. During the RetroTV game, Richard BERGIE/DUMMIE came in to play. I hadn't seen him in months so it was good to catch up on what we've been doing and my scores improved by about 2000 per game. In Playback, we had been feeling pretty good for the first three rounds and Nick IAMINU got here in time for the OnBeat round although he started 5000 points behind us. Then we hit the wall during the Triviaoke round with me getting less than 2000 for the whole round and not making my 20000 preEncore standard.

OnBeat...ROCKET...14000/14000...1st/10...my two boards co-win round with BERGIE/DUMMIE. ..........LITBOX...14000/14000...1st/10...wow nine for nine as I ran the board. Richard said he hadn't read about music this week. I had but it's usually the wrong stuff but everything fell into place requiring only about one 50/50 guess. JukeBox...ROCKET...18134/20000...1st/12...ROCKET wins round. ........LITBOX...18124/20000...2nd/12...we had control of the categories we wanted. Triviaoke...ROCKET...19801/28000...2nd/14...FENIAN wins round...BERGIE takes lead. .......LITBOX...19786/28000...3rd/14...probably my worst Triviaoke round ever. The wrong answers were quite logical...I think I took five -250s.
The answers come up for these Broadway/Hollywood composers and I'm thinking with our poor scores it doesn't really matter what happens now so NTN might as well use up their quota of showtunes. Well here we go...

I'm not sure about this. I know I've heard this from a television show and next day realize it was on a Biography of this composer. I know Irving Berlin wrote 'White Christmas' and George M Cohan wrote the patriotic "I'm A Yankee Doodle Dandy". I can hear Ethel Merman's voice...the guy lived to be 100 and wrote so many songs, can't strongly convince my friends of the answer and I'm not even sure...Split? Nah I never do that, these aren't even good scores...

I'm right and hold my spot at 2nd and 3rd...I'm surprised to find myself ranking 19th overall with ROCKET and 20th with LITBOX. The bar finishes 13th in North America with 24135 points. Only three of our boards get it right. Richard splits his boards but hits with BERGIE and ranks 17th on the Network Top 20. It turns out YOU gets us the ranking whoever that player was. I earn 3000+ Players Plus points for meeting this week's 20000 standard. To get a ranking just proves that all the other bars had to answer the same Triviaoke round too and their winning scores seemed to be 4000 less than usual.
