Encore Question of March 29th, 2003.
Played at The Frog & Firkin in North York Ontario.
Answers:
Tonight I'm playing with Rob COSMO and Sean METLCA/VOIVOD which is a surprise to me because they were only going to come here every second week. Good thing as I found some of the game tough. Sean had to battle a player who was on the same frequency as one of his boxes. That was probably the Playmaker I gave back earlier to trade for another. There's a simple combination to change the frequencies but we didn't know how.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...ROCKET...5000/5000...1st/5...my two co-win with COSMO. ..........LITBOX...5000/5000. OnBeat...ROCKET...11000/14000...4th/5...COSMO, METLCA/VOIVOD win round with 7 for 9. .........LITBOX...11000/15000...4th/5...6 right and 3 wrong isn't good but I recovered after missing the first two. I thought Dixie Chicks had already started a world tour to make their controversial statement. JukeBox...forgot to write down my scores but we did pretty good and I thought I could reach 20000. Triviaoke...ROCKET...22056/28000...1st/7...ROCKET wins round. ............LITBOX...22025/28000...2nd/7.
So the answers come up and I realize every one is an Eric Clapton album. Oh Oh could be a song title. I was just playing the 'Time Pieces' greatest hits package full of his 1970s songs within the last two weeks.
Encore Question:...On this album Eric Clapton performs 16 of his favourite blues classics:
.
.
Well I don't know for sure but I know he had a cover versions album. I know it wasn't '461 Ocean Boulevard' which had "I Shot The Sheriff" but mostly originals. I was thinking 'Just One Night' would be a live album although that's not the reason I gave for not choosing this suddenly mixing it up with 'Time Pieces' when I didn't see it. I was going to go with 'From The Cradle' as it would sound the best title to name an album of his early influences when he was young=cradle. Rob thought of a movie 'Crossroads' and I'm thinking 'Pilgrim' could have been another 'time long ago' era.
Correct Answer:...3. From The Cradle
[NTN Extra Fact:..."Motherless Child" was the biggest single from this followup to the popular "Unplugged"].
I'm right and finish win as ROCKET with a score of 33084. I earn 3000+ points for meeting this week's standard of 20000. I finish 21st overall in North America (although that seems suspect with 34xxx being the 20th player on the Network Top 20. The bar finishes 14th in North America with a 27348 average. I wasn't sure enough to convince Rob to answer '3' or we could have been about 5th.
Here's how the rest of the bar did: Player preEncore Final Rank NTN Top 2500 ROCKET 22056 33084 21 47 LITBOX 22025 33037 36 49 COSMO 21460 x 10730 6763 2340 METLCA 20169 30253 875 110 VOIVOD 19858 29797 1016 123 C FARF 9429 x 4715 8577? SMILEE 7716 x 3858 8635? 8836? eight rankings for seven players?
Hey this album made #1 and I had trouble with it. A lot fairer than that obscure stuff thrown at us in the last three weeks.
