Tonight I'm playing with just Dougie CRANKY and with my two boxes on a small bar table we only have three boards between us. There really isn't enough room for any more Playmakers. One other guy was playing at the start of the game. Well forget getting a good bar score, it's just an individual rank for the few seconds of fame.

My game so far had gone like this:
TuneUp...ROCKET...3500/5000...3rd/4...CRANKY and WALRUS win round.
...........LITBOX...3500/5000...3rd/4...well off to one of my worst starts.
OnBeat...ROCKET...12500/14000...1st/4...my two boards win round.
...........LITBOX...12500/14000...1st/4...wow 9 for 9 for a best round ever. Hey I'm back in
the game. About four answers were Canadian woman artists. Dougie cost me an answer
in TuneUp but got me the "new book = Jann Arden" question.
JukeBox...ROCKET...18287/20000...2nd/6...LITBOX wins round.
............LITBOX...18312/20000...1st/6...this board had an easier to press keypad.
Triviaoke...ROCKET...23702/28000...2nd/6...LITBOX wins round.
............LITBOX...23778/28000...1st/6...two -250s in this round but otherwise the
choices were easier.

Hey, I've got some pretty good scores here. Steve JSBACH has just arrived so we'd have any Classical music questions solved. The answers come up and I realize it's going to be something about teen stars. I should be able to get anything.

Encore Question:...What former teen star released an album called "The Color Of Silence" in 2000?

.

.

No worry about blurting out the answer without giving any other players a chance. I actually dictate the question and think about a second before I know the answer. Let's make sure I've got both boards answered and Dougie hears me. I walk over about ten feet and tell WALRUS the answer in one simple sentence *(see below). His 14000 score turning into 21000 would help the bar. Still got plenty of time.

Correct Answer:...4. Tiffany

[NTN Extra Fact:...Tiffany Darwish was just 15 when she had her first hit single in 1987.]

* Here's what I said:.."It's Tiffany. She posed for Playboy to try to promote that."
What instructions could be clearer? If you were a guy in a sports bar and didn't know the answer yourself, wouldn't you take advice from a stranger with that logic?

I'm right and finish and win with LITBOX at 35667 points. That's 6th on the Network Top 20 in all North America. The bar is 18th in North America with a 22364 average. I earn 3000+ Players Plus points on both boards for meeting this week's point standard (not sure what it was).

To rank our bar was the real surprise of the night with only four players and something I never thought possible when I saw WALRUS got the answer wrong in the Encore! 7000 vs 21000 is a huge difference for your fourth player.

With my CD listening habits the this week including Babyface, The Mamas And The Papas, John Lennon/Yoko Ono, and the MuchDance 2003 compilation how can I say my streak of spooky experiences extend to three weeks? Well I was looking through the Zip drive on my computer this week and came across some Tiffany pictures she did for Playboy. Yeah, she really is a natural redhead!

That wasn't the reason I guessed it. It was the album title that was illogical and I read a front page article in Billboard back then and I thought they would ask that in the OnBeat round three years ago. I just needed the jolt again of reading the title, "color" = redhair = answer. The Playboy publicity didn't do her any good as the album didn't make the Top 200 album charts. You only need to sell 5500 to 6000 copies in a week to make the charts. Same story had happened a few years earlier for Nancy Sinatra's comeback.

Here's how the rest of the bar did:
Player	preEncore	Final	Rank	NTN.com Top 100
LITBOX	23778 35667 6	18	6th on Network Top 20
ROCKET	23702 35553 7	20
CRANKY	20666 30999 729	72
WALRUS	14063	x 7031	7897
MERCLA 5143	x 2571	9231
BANDB 3028	x 1817	9456 (later NTN.com dropped our bar to 20th place)

I was here on New Year's Eve and earned ROCKET 11,500 Players Plus points. That'll help make up for the absence of the 2000+ point 8:30pm game I've been used to on Saturdays.

Other games:...I start the evening with ROCKET at 2,412,500 and LITBOX at 303,000 P+ points. 7:30pm...Countdown...750/15000...4th/4...500+ points...I'm 9434th in NA...bar is 1881st...I'm here in time for the last two question...not sure who won.
