Tonight I'm here for the first time since August 17th. I'm playing with Rob COSMO and Sean METLCA/CAPER and we've got the top five boards as I've got ROCKET and LITBOX going.

My game so far had gone like this:
TuneUp....ROCKET...5000/5000...1st/8...with only my two boards in 1st place tie.
...........LITBOX...5000/5000...1st/8
OnBeat...ROCKET...11000/14000...1st/9...I win round with my two boards and COSMO and KAV.
.........LITBOX...11000/14000...six right and three wrong and I needed help from Rob
and Sean to even do that well. Room for improvement.
Jukebox...ROCKET...?????/20000...1st/9...forgot to write the scores down, yeah I really
am rusty.
..........LITBOX...?????/20000...2nd/9
Triviaoke...ROCKET...21312/28000...1st/9...METLCA wins round.
............LITBOX...21181/28000...2nd/9

Well I got over 20000 which is a good welcome back now what would this Encore be? I should know all about these groups!

Encore Question:...Which rock group consisted of former members of a group called 'The Tourists'?

Ooh surpise! I knew this one even before the answers came back on the screen blurting out the answer. Rob and Sean said they didn't know. With so much time to spare I have time to go over to the bar and tell Dougie CRANKY and Kimmo KAV. I don't bring a book to the bar anymore and later find out the answer was in the Billboard book I used to bring but I remember from an English book I have with a photo of this group with the caption "Here come the tourists again" and I didn't understand the reference until I read more.

Correct Answer:....3. Eurythmics

NTN Extra Fact:...The duo consisted of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart.

I'm right and win as ROCKET with 31968. That's good for 18th on the North America Top 20 board. The bar finishes 7th in all North America with an average of 30828. I earn 3000+ Players Plus points for meeting this week's standard of 19000 points.

Here's how the rest of the bar did:
Player	preEncore	Final	Rank	NTN Top 100
ROCKET	21312 31968 18	47
LITBOX	21181 31771 47	52
CAPER	20383 30575 421	64
METLCA	20132 30198 539	68
COSMO	19753 29629 718	74
ARCHER	14110	x 7055	7789
KAV 9822 14733	7384?
CRANKY 9052	x 8147	7447	(he still answered wrong)
TOBY 2574	x 1287	9596

So hopefully now starts a seven month period of coming out most weeks. Better start reading up on music news.

Other games:...I start the night off with 2,333,500 Players Plus points for ROCKET and 263,000 for LITBOX. 8:00pm...Countdown...8570/15000...4th/7...1000+ points...I'm 2974th in North America...bar is 13th in North America with a 10435 average...COSMO wins and is 9th in NA with a 13144 score. I'm playing at the bar however.
8:30pm...Countdown...13289/15000...1st/9...2000+ points...I'm 42nd in NA...bar is 121st.
9:00pm...Wipeout...10672/15000...4th/10...1000+ points...I'm 1540th in NA...bar is 77th...METLCA wins. I join their table for the last five questions.
9:30pm...Wipeout...ROCKET...9934/15000...5th/11...1000+ points...I'm 2495th in NA...bar is 271st...CRY wins.
.....................LITBOX...3968/15000...10th/11...500+ points...I'm 7002nd in NA getting a second board with five questions to go and can't meet the 6000 point standard.

I also found out I was one of the winners in the Billboard Trivia Question of last week. The question asked what is the oldest artist to debut an album on the Top 200. Clues were he was born in England and was aged 73 when he did it! Old guys? I thought of George Burns "I Wish I Was 18 Again" but he was 84 in my book but I suppose he made the charts back in radio days before my book started counting in 1955. Well I was thinking of comedians anyway. Hey Bob Hope was born in England! Yep it's him with an album in 1976 about the American Bicentennial.

Last week's Encore wasn't exactly recapped on the Playback message board but it was a list of fashion model names as the answer and you had to guess which was in a Michael Jackson video (In The Closet?). I probably wouldn't have gotten it but I was typing up a soccer report from a doubleheader in the afternoon.
