Tonight I'm playing the Playback game with Bill MADDOG, Marlo ZIGGY, Kevin ROK, and Dave COITIS. Until this game I was in the exiled second row behind two non-players. There was no trouble seeing the screen but I couldn't get more than 10000 on my own. I had a great game in the 9:30pm Wipeout with one key answer when Marlo said "Oh I'll know this" for a question about the television show 'ER' which I've never watched. That was a good icebreaker and I stood behind the team for most of the Playback game until a spot at the bar finally opened up. Knowing my awkward postion, I only played one board.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp....4500/5000...1st/15...I co-win round with ROK, MADDOG, and COITIS. OnBeat...11000/14000...1st/15...I co-win round with COITIS and COSMO. 7 right, 2 wrong is alright with me. JukeBox...15967/20000...2nd/15...COSMO wins round and has lead with 16500. Triviaoke...22044/28000...2nd/11...less missed songs for us...COSMO wins round and is in lead.
The answers come up and I bookmark Suzy Bogguss and Rosanne Cash. I can't remember anyone else to place a bookmark before the bet placing is over.
I didn't know that my microrecorder batteries were dead even though I'd tested them in a short 5 second check so I can't transcribe the question exactly.

Well I have no idea about this. I quickly expire that it's not Suzy Bogguss nor Rosanne Cash. Now what? Well I know the Sheryl Crow albums even though I only own two of her cassettes. Let's try Shawn Colvin as I don't know much about her. Got it! I make sure our group has it and then run over to Sean and Rob's table yelling "It's 4, it's 4" and they nod but I got there too late.

I ended up winning the game with 33066 points. I finish 12th in North America and the bar is 9th with a xxxxx average. I couldn't find our average on the ntn.com site. It appears we didn't play this game as no mention of our bar nor individual score appears in the Top 100 review of the week. When does the local soccer season start again so I can have fun? I earn 3000+ Players Plus points for meeting this week's standard of 19000.

We could have been better but ZIGGY bet only 10% or even with COSMO and METLCA missing it we could have ranked above the other Firkin. I haven't played RetroTV in quite a few years. Big difference in not knowing stuff about 'ER' and the days when I used to watch television! Bill bought me a beer and I stayed a bit longer. The rain had stopped by then and turned into snow but the winds were stronger than ever.
