Tonight I'm playing with Richard BERGIE, Dave COITIS, Brian SHARK (as his OLDUDE board conked out earlier), Marlo ZIGGY, and Bill MADDOG. I was disappointed I couldn't get to 20000 points before the Encore round but my chances were limited after the OnBeat round.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp....4500/5000...2nd/8...COITIS wins with a perfect round while I'm in a two-way tie for 2nd. OnBeat...9000/14000...3rd/8...ZIGGY wins round with 9750. I only get five right, two wrong, and two not answered and BERGIE helped me with two of the answers. JukeBox...13784/20000...2nd/7...BERGIE wins round with ZIGGY still in lead. Triviaoke...19182/28000...2nd/7...I win this round.
The answers come up and Richard is the first to mention that these were New Age artists. Yeah I've only heard of the first three of them. I bookmark the ones I know.

I don't know this. Who plays the saxophone? Well I flip open to Kenny G but see it's not him. I say it must be '4' or '5' to Richard but start thinking. I know I've seen this album in my book before. John Tesh? There was something funny when I read it before. John Tesh was known for playing the piano and I thought for his Christian beliefs so that's why this seemed strange for album titles. Since I've bookmarked him anyway....Yes! Found him. I tell our group with about 15 seconds to go.

I stay in second and finish with 28773 points. I earn 3000+ points for meeting this week's 16000 point standard. Our bar is ranked 2nd in North America with a 26936 average but with 10th place being 4241, something looks wrong. [However, by the end of the week our score still held so it's legit!, just the individual scores were knocked down]. I finish 8th in North America with Marlo 7th overall on the Network Top 10 (not 20) board but under the name MARLO winning the game. All the players got overrated positions so it seemed like we weren't connected to the main NTN satellite.

I had a great time tonight. Ray MAC had tipped off some of the players that it was my birthday today (yeah age 43!). Also there were some people who I hadn't seen for months like Richard BERGIE and Brian OLDUDE/SHARK. Even I guy I had never seen at this bar but a friend from my twice a week visits to the swimming pool was here. I make sure to say goodnight to Doug CRANKY who was staying away from us to avoid the temptation to smoke. Hmm six in our group tonight and only I don't smoke!
