Tonight we weren't having a good game thanks to my knowledge of current events drying up which hurt us in the OnBeat round. I'm playing with Doug CRANKY, Richard BERGIE, Dave COITIS, Bill MADDOG, and Paul ZUKEE.

So down to the Encore question. Paul had left his board idle so I'd play that for the final question. I had my book open at Van Morrison before the answer came up as I was finally looking for the name of Van Morrison's first album they asked during the last Wipeout game. They had also asked a Bon Jovi question in the OnBeat round. I now bookmarked kd lang.

Maybe I can find this under the Soundtrack section of my book. Great there's the movie but it's really too dark to read the fine print. I was one block from home before realizing I forgot my mag light but I didn't want to turn back or I'd miss the start of the 8:00pm game and the chance to squeeze 500 Player Plus points from the 7:30pm game for answering one question. Richard said that David Byrne sounded like a good choice so I was in with that and didn't change.

I should have got this question as I'd read this years ago and have forgotten it. The next listing in my book under movies was "In The Heat Of The Night" and although Carol O'Connor/Archie Bunker who died earlier in the week wasn't in the movie, he was on the television series by that name and it wouldn't surprize me if the question writers came across that page.

I earned 6000 Players Plus points on Tuesday night when I met up with Bill MEGUMI, a player from Long Island New York who was in Toronto on a convention. I knew of him from a message board of Playback players and we watch him usually finish in the Top 10 every week of this music game. Most of our regular players were here. Even Kim MOLSON/VIKING of our old rivals was here to remind Bill that he was bringing all the superstar players like DAVETV to the Bull&Firkin the next night. Strange games on Tuesday that I hadn't played before. I thought the questions were difficult and not one about Canada the three hours I was there. MEGUMI was back in the Top 20 this week so I said "Well that proves he got home safely".
