Encore Question of February 3rd, 2001.
Played at The Frog & Firkin in North York Ontario.

  1. Fleetwood Mac
  2. Moody Blues
  3. Rolling Stones
  4. The Eagles
  5. Led Zeppelin

Tonight I'm playing at the end of the bar with the others further away and all of us squinting at a little monitor. The bar installed a giant screen tv broadcasting sports in time for last week's Super Bowl (tonight it was the Raptors basketball game then the sports news and then the same sports news again). They promise to have a second monitor that we can all see hopefully by next week. This was awkward for me leaning around a pillar and a set of beer taps. Beside me were Kimmo KAV, Richard BERGIE, Paul ZUKEE, Bill MADDOG, and Doug CRANKY.

My game so far had gone like this:
TuneUp....5000/5000...1st/16...I'm the only one with a perfect score.
OnBeat...10250/14000...2nd/16...BERGIE wins round and holds lead...6 right, 3 wrong with my
friends feeding me one of those right answers. I better get reading up on music news.
JukeBox...15544/20000...2nd/19...HOMER wins round, BERGIE in lead.
Triviaoke...22575/28000...2nd/19...I win the round.

The answers are something about rock groups but I don't think of any connection as I bookmark Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, and Led Zeppelin.

Encore Question:...Randy Newman's "Little Creatures" featured guest appearances by members of:

Well I pull my fingers out of my book and look up Randy Newman. Now I have my answer! The question is actually wrong! I tell my friends although they may have guessed it anyway.

Correct Answer:...4 The Eagles

[NTN Extra Fact:...It was Newman's first gold album and included the controversial satire "Short People".]

My book actually has the album title as "Little Criminals". Now we have to read through the questions to make the corrections. Since this is the marquis question of the whole game, I'd expect NTN could proofread their material more carefully.

I'm right and stay in 2nd place with 33863 points. That's good for 48th overall in North America. I earn 3000+ Players Plus points for meeting this week's standard of 15000. The bar is 12th in North America with a 31156 average. Bergie wins with 34597 points.
