Tonight I'm playing with a small group of Paul ZUKEE, Bill MADDOG, and Doug CRANKY who's partly out of earshot. I've got over my 20000 points going into the Encore round.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp...4500/5000...1st/9...I win this round. OnBeat...11250/14000...1st/9...I'm cowinner of this round with TEX. I get 7 right, 1 wrong, 1 no guess. JukeBox...15203/20000...1st/9...GOBUDS wins round. Triviaoke...23009/28000...1st/9...I win this round.
In the Triviaoke round some players aren't answering the last few questions so it's possible the people already left. The Answers come up and I know it should be something about Irish groups. I'm going to have trouble if it's 3 or 5.

When the answers came up I say to my friends. "Well Clannad, I know them, that's where Enya came from." I'm given credit for a transcript to an Enya interview on MuchMusic back in the Fall of 1991 that I posted to a Usenet about a week later. It still appears at www.shepherdmoons.net/articles as article T007. I've bought the cassettes of the music she played with her family and own almost all the Clannad musical catalog. Bill answers for Doug CRANKY who's wandered away from his board but later says Celtic is his favourite type of music.

I'm right and win with 34513 points. I finish 14th on the Network Top 20. I earn 3000+ Players Plus points for meeting this week's standard of 21000 points. The bar finishes 256th because we don't really have a 5th board playing. No individual rankings were displayed.

I gave out a few more photo reprints from the New Year's Eve party but still have a few more for people I haven't seen since that night. Bar business has really fallen off as it does every January. I told our little group that I'll miss the next two weeks. If I get the Encore question from the Playboard message board that I subscribe to, I'll eventually post the question here. Sunday morning and I log on and find out my ISP provider is going out of business so I'll have to find a new home for my home page eventually.

9:30pm...SunSportsCountdown...9726/15000...2nd/10...1000+ points...I'm 32nd out of about 150 players in SOnt...bar is 6th in Southern Ontario with an 8721 average...ZUKEE wins with 11968 points and is the #1 player in SOnt. This is the first time we were able to play this game without any screen interference. Paul ZUKEE must have given me at least 3000 more points than I would have earned on my own. Looks like I've got to pay more attention to the Sports pages.
