Tonight I'm playing with a small group of Paul ZUKEE, Bill MADDOG, Bill (usually OH YA but with some board trouble for this game) DIMWIT, and some quiet new guy PSMAN. Deborah WOTUS was here by the end of Triviaoke and I pulled in non-playing Phil PLBAAB/CYCLER from The Regulars for the Encore question. I have the lead with my best game in quite a few weeks.

OnBeat...12250/14000...2nd/11...PSMAN wins going 9/9 and leads with 12500. I'm 8 right, 1 wrong for a good showing. JukeBox...17474/20000...1st/10...I win this round...a non-player says 'Blind Melon' before the answers are up for one question. Triviaoke...23255/28000...1st/11...I win this round.
So this question will be about Country Artists. Who do I know? Well Freddy Fender and Tim McGraw. I have time to bookmark Freddy Fender and can't find Mark Wills under Wills nor Willis (too 'new' for my book). I could have played back a country music countdown I'd taped from New Year's Eve but instead played back a rival stations non-stop dance video New Year's Eve show and that didn't help as I blew the Triviaoke for "Missing" Everything But The Girl by not reading all the choices although I could probably sing every word. Well I know who to think of right away. I've seen this guy on television back in the 1970s. At the time there were comparisons to the Puerto Rican-American comic Freddie Prinze. He's the only face I could picture besides Tim McGraw. If this is as tough as the Country questions get, I'll do alright. Now I have 25 seconds to wait after tipping off everybody within earshot. My book gives his birth name and town before the NTN extra fact is displayed. (The name was so showbusiness fake, and the other guys are the 'new generation' that anyone who's seen the videos for these new stars could just eliminate them).

PSMAN bet too conservatively or we could have moved up a few places.

Wow! 28000 points ranks only in the top 2000. Other bars must have also found this an easy Encore question.
I ended up here on New Year's Eve and earned 9500 Players Plus points with the help of Richard BERGIE and Dave COITUS. I took some photos and had reprints made for friends and bar staff but didn't give out many. You folks better show up next week or you won't see me until February!
