Tonight I've climbed to 2nd place after starting off in 7th after the OnBeat round. I'm playing with Dave COITIS, Bill MADDOG, another Bill OH YA, and Doug CRANKY. The Regulars have six players/seven boards by the time the Encore round.
My game so far had gone like this: TuneUp....3500/5000....7th/11...four of The Regulars win with 4500. OnBeat...10250/14000...7th/11...KELLY wins round and has 12250. 7 right, 1 wrong, 1 not answered. I felt like the boy who didn't do his homework because I spent my internet time reading about the Olympics however I was pleased with this. JukeBox...14397/20000...5th/13...OH YA wins round, KELLY has lead with 16733. Triviaoke...20101/28000...2nd/13...I win this round.
So the Encore answers come up. Well I can't open my music book because this can be about anything. I'll just have to wait.... I didn't know why Kim MOLSON/VIKING was standing behind Bill.

I don't know this. Bill says Fingerstyle looked good. Dave doesn't think so and says Clawhammer but not with convincing certainty. I'm asked and don't know. Bill is a musician and so The Regulars give him a great deal of respect. His answer convinces them to go for '1' as well.

I'm wrong but only fall to 3rd. I finish with 10051 points and that's 3392nd in North America. I only earn 1500+ Players Plus points for not meeting this weeks 18000 point standard. I didn't notice our bar's rank but it wouldn't have been good. Dave wins coming all the way from 10th place.

What a waste of time! The Top 20 board of Network Rankings was very low. I guess I should have remembered that the last time they asked a 'technical' question Encore, the answer was also '2'. How obscure can these questions get?
My friend Paul got here at about 10:30pm. Since the pool where we usually swim was closed for the last two weeks, I later decide to go swimming the next Saturday night at an out of town pool rather than come here.
