Tonight I'm in 7th place with 18183 after a poor round of JukeBox and Triviaoke. I had the lead into the Triviaoke round and I can usually hold on but I only earned about 3000 points. I was playing with Bill MADDOG, Richard BERGIE and Dave who didn't have a board. The Regulars had seven brains and eight or nine boards.
My game so far had gone like this:

OnBeat...12750/14000...1st/17...A real surprise as I get 8 right, 1 wrong and hold the lead. The one question I miss is that Toronto cancelled a rock festival when it ran out of money. That's news to me. Maybe Port Hope but that's quite aways away.

Triviaoke...18183/28000...7th/17...JARVIS wins round...I was probably wrong on at least three or four questions. Mother Nature's Son by The Beatles was one. I checked from the lyrics poster on my vinyl LP of this (bought mid 1970s) and it is the rhyme 'lazy song beneath the sun' but earlier in the song it's 'singing songs for everyone'. It wiped the bar with that question.
Question:...This Rock And Roll Hall of Fame group featured 'Sam Gooden' and 'Fred Cash'.
I don't know this right off. What can I peel to get rid of? Sly & The Family Stone's out, I've heard of enough of the group members. Is everyone in the Hall Of Fame? Weren't The Ink Spots 'too early' for rock and roll? I know the lead singers for The Coasters and Curtis Mayfield was for The Impressions. I picked The Impressions early because of some system an NTN fans e-mail ring has discovered. Most of my thoughts were 'why I shouldn't change my answer'. MADDOG and BERGIE were out of earshot and I wasn't confident of this answer. Just hoped it wasn't Booker T as I got a greatest hits package of them in the $6 clearance bin a few months ago and haven't played it yet.

There was one soccer question this week, most of the bar got the full 1000 points for knowing the team name of the Toronto franchise of the W-League is 'Inferno'.The other offered answers were just jokes.
Last week I wasn't here. I was drying off after watching the Caribana Parade in the rain. The Encore question wiped out the bar which only had about three Regulars and two of my friends battling over the holiday weekend. Something about Miles Davis and a book and song title 'Round Midnight'. I'd have had to guess on this one so I'm glad I missed it.
