  1. Edison
  2. Capone
  3. Lindbergh
  4. Einstein
  5. Gandhi

Tonight for this game I'm playing with TREV against The Regulars. While they don't have Joe (ENIGMA and STNCLD) which makes Jeff LEAFAN and I a bit more confident at the beginning of the night, my jaw drops when they bring in the 'big guns' to make a superteam of eight players. Included was the legend Dave DAVETV and Pat (?) AUSPAT. They want to win the top bar three weeks in a row.

I had a good OnBeat round for me, 7 right and 2 wrong which was good for not having the time to keep up on current music news. The Superteam was 8 and 1. I was 9th going into this round and TREV was 11th. He couldn't help me with any answers but it was more fun than playing alone. Jeff excused himself after playing since 4pm and had gone up to The Swamp room to play pool at the end of the 9:30pm game.

My game so far had gone like this:
TuneUp....4500/5000....8th/17...7 way tie for 1st place with 5000 points.
OnBeat...11000/14000...8th/17...the leaders have 12750 points.
JukeBox...16178/20000...8th/17...Barry OLE JR wins round and has lead with 18740.
Triviaoke...22819/28000...9th/17...OLE JR wins round and increases lead to 26509. I've been caught by JARVIS which is Barry's 2nd board that he didn't start with until mostly through the TuneUp round.

Well it's all down to the last question. These folks aren't all inventors, they're all over the spectrum. I put 50% on the line.

Question:...."__________ On The Beach" is a 1976 opera by American composer Philip Glass.

Well this is the tough question I need to win this game as the other eight may be wrong. Great, except I don't know the answer either. Opera? I thought he was a New Age composer. I misread the question which for the first time this evening helps me out. I think it says 1986 and think that was the time that it became popular to consider Einstein as just a regular guy, like that Yahoo Serious movie from Australia 'Young Einstein' a few years later. He'd got the idea from seeing a t-shirt with a photo of Einstein sticking his tongue out. I tell TREV what I've answered and ask Dave (he didn't have a board but walked over about two minutes earlier). I don't think about how ugly this will be if I'm wrong.

Correct Answer:.....4. Einstein.

Extra message:....Other works by the eccentric artist include the score for the 1983 film 'Koyaanisqatsi'.

I'm right and find I've kept my 9th place finish. I'm very lucky as this isn't in my music book and I was out by a decade in the date. I finish with 34229 points and that is 48th overall in North America. I earn 3000 Players Plus points for meeting this weeks standard of 14000 points. The bar is 2nd overall in North America with a 39101 average. Barry OLE JR wins with 39763 and finishes 2nd on the Top 20 board and 2nd on the bar's Hall of Fame board.

Two soccer questions in the sports game!
I tip Trev and Jeff that 'no goals' in regulation time were scored in the Woman's World Cup two games on Saturday before the answers come up but then can't see the word 'Nobody' until the score is down to 560.
I also never knew that Liverpool soccer team was ever nicknamed 'Spice Boys' as a term of derision. (no, David Beckham who married Posh Spice plays for Manchester United).
I tip Trev and Jeff that Minnesota governor Jesse The Body Ventura will return to the sports scene as a referee (too old to wrestle) then I can't find the answer and put wrestler anyway until I reread the answer.
Jeff leaves for the men's room and I reach around a pillar at the bar to keep his board going and knock his bottle of beer over.
Geez I was expecting worse things in the music game with this start to the night.

Kim (MOLSON and VIKING) and Chris (KELLY) come over after the music game and offer me baseball tickets to join their group from NTN/The Toronto Sun newspaper for winning the sports trivia in past weeks but I politely decline so I can cover the W-League soccer game. Still it was a nice gesture.

I also want to say hello to Dave DAVETV. I'd seen a show last week on the making of the movie Citizen Kane and the photos of the young William Randolph Hearst reminded me of Dave but...naw they look different. Dave said some nice things about me playing the 2 vs 8 odds for the last game.
