I'm in control of two playmakers as right from when I got here tonight, my board was acting up so I got another although 'ROCKET' never conked out. I had 'POCKET' as my backup. I was 9th and 10th coming into the Encore question. I haven't had much time the last two weeks to read about the music scene but after guessing two OnBeat questions I had no idea on and being right, I was disappointed to get two wrong that I should have known.
My game so far had gone like this:
TuneUp....5000/5000...1st/19...ROCKET, POCKET and GHQ win round.
OnBeat...10250/14000...10th with both my boards.
JukeBox...13233/20000...11th and 12th, GHQ wins round.
Triviaoke...13180/28000...10th and 11th of 17, VIKING wins round.
GHQ is our friend JSBACH whose board had conked out. Richard had his BERGIE board going but it was a small group against the Regulars four brains, seven boards.

I knew this fact about 10 years ago when this song came out but might have forgotten it by now. It wasn't in my music book but of course it was in the cassette of Phil Collins--"HITS" that I bought on Boxing Day. I talked the mild doubters out of guessing anything other than Lamont Dozier. Most of the bar is right so I maintain 9th and 10th place. I end up with 27270 and 27235 points. I earn 3000 Players Plus points. The bar finishes 5th with 30108 points. I was surprised to see that our top 12 players all finished in the overall top 100. It must have been the last question fooled a lot of people. Now I felt better. This is one tough bar.

I don't plan on doing the double playmaker control again unless I fear the battery will give out. Some patrons came in near the end of Playback and there were no boards available. Some players in the US e-mail me that they've controlled 11 boards with only two people. Greedy!! I passed both my boards off to late arrivals Dave and Kimmo and left at my usual time.

8:30pm...Countdown...9064/15000...4th/15...I'm 2006th in North America...2000+ points...LEAFAN wins and makes 18th on Top 20 board...(I start up POCKET while the game's in progress and get 6523/15000 for 4247th in NA.
9:00pm...Wipeout...12624/15000...1st/16 as POCKET.

Last week's Encore question was to name the group that released the 1993 album "Acid Eaters". The answer was The Ramones because the other punk bands listed had all broken up before then. The Regulars had five boards listed in the Top 100 at ntn.com and helped the bar finish 5th in North America.
