Tonight I have a lead going into the last question but a big crowd is chasing me. It's just me and BERGIE at the bar playing as a group. Jeff (LEAFAN) didn't have a board tonight but was a big help to us in the sports trivia game earlier in the night.
My game so far had gone like this:

Question:...Bing Crosby made his professional singing debut with this bandleader's group:
Two possible chances I think. Paul Whiteman and Kay Kyser. I've read this before but can't think of who. Somehow I can think of Bing Crosby saying Kay Kyser's name in that voice of his. I put in Kay Kyser but I have a doubt that may be where Dinah Shore got her start [no she didn't] in an A&E Biography I saw last month. All I could do was nudge BERGIE not to choose Guy Lombardo so he went with me. We should have split because a Network Top 20 was waiting for us if one of us was right. [26079 points was the 20th spot on the Top 20 Network rankings]
Why a two way choice? Well I'd have heard about the Guy Lombardo angle (a famous Canadian that we heard about often), Lawrence Welk (too young) and Benny Goodman (career didn't start early enough).

I'm wrong but I'm shocked to see I hold on to first place with 10180 points. All 14 people in the bar are wrong. I still shouldn't have won as there are usually someone who'd put only 10% on the line especially with a tough category like this. Good thing MEWLER wasn't playing. I finish 5172nd in North America and the bar is 1577th. I earn 1500+ Players Plus points for not making this week's 14000+ point standard.
