There is no entertainment for the fanss but one Dad had a bubble maker on the concourse to entertain the young kids.

Only the TFC subs stayed out to warm up. The Revs subs were warming up before halftime needing their spare goalie to keep
the lines even as there were only four of them still eligible.

Revs earn the extra point for a shootout win with a 9-8 win in a twelve round shootout.

* At the time some in the crowd thought it was for excessive celebration and then catcalled every goal where a striker high fived his goaltender wishing him good luck on the next shot. Rumours turned to it must be something he said but to his own goalie. After the game I stayed behind with some of the superfans as they were going to ask Fisher if he'd been given a reason. Fisher said he wasn't sure but I noticed the referee assessor exiting the same doors so I asked him. Yes it was for some foul language he used against the Revs goalie.

Attendance started off slow but gradually topped out at about 200 people by halftime on this mild overcast afternoon. About 15 minutes after the game ended, a few drops of rain began to fall.

Revs only had five players on the bench and that included the extra goalie. I wasn't sure the reason as the two MLS teams had played yesterday down at BMO Field. Revs had to make an early sub at just 6 minutes with Hasron Barry being injured on that first TFC goal play. TFC made four changes at once at 63 minutes right after their second goal and used their maximum six subs from their selection of nine listed. TFC brought up two players from the MLS roster who hadn't got any playing time yesterday. Goalie Adisa De Rosario was on the bench because the number two, Luka Gavran, is injured and forward Charlie Sharp. Sharp played the first half of this half with a shot from 24 yards down the middle well high and wide left of the net at 22 minutes. I remember he didn't get many 90 minute runs here last season and was thinking of Dekwon Barrow replacing him and it happened. The superfans said Barrow had started in the Canadian Championship game against Montreal and played quite well.

I had looked last night at the standings because WLT don't add up to total points. After today Revs have improved to 3 for 3 in shootout wins earning them three bonus points. TFC are now 0 for 2 in these game settlers. There's 'one extra win' for the Revs right there.

I watched Ythallo take the exact same Penalty kick and have it stopped in their home season opener against Carolina Core. Stutter step then with almost no momentum because he almost stops, roll a weak shot towards the left side of the net where the goalie has enough time to react and stop it. I'm sure this league's game films circulate between the teams.

The shootout ran through all eleven players on the field including goalie's then started again. Michael Sullivan had scored on the first kick of the Penalties with a shot to the low right side with the goalie diving the wrong way. He took the exact same kick on their twelfth shot and the goalie guessed correct this time to make the stop. Revs Victor Souza who'd scored on the third Revs penalty with a shot to the top right as the goalie dove left put the Revs twelfth shot low on a blast to the left but he froze the goalie for that split second that he couldn't get his hand to stop it.

Referee Nivan Raizada gave out four Yellow cards (two to each team) plus that Red during the shoot out. Both the Revs cards were for time wasting. The Penalty kick call was on a ball that just wouldn't go over the end line on its own and the TFC second goal was from a Revs defender shielding a ball that just wouldn't go over the end line and he was dispossessed. Thursday night I was here in the rain for the Northern Super League game and the ball just wouldn't stay in play with seemingly every forward pass from closer than 25 yards rolling out before a charging player could stop it to make a play.

There's still a few west coast games that don't effect the Eastern Conference so with the weekend completed:

TFC II improves to 3 wins, 2 losses, 2 ties, 0 bonus points for 11 points. That is good for a tie of sixth place with Orlando City B but TFC are ranked higher because they've played one less game.

Revs II improve to 3 wins, 1 loss, 3 ties, 3 bonus points for 15 points. That is good for a tie for second place with New York Red Bulls II but they Revs are ranked third as they have one less win than Red Bulls.

TFC II's next game, their last of a four game homestand, is this Friday at 7:00pm against Chattanooga FC who are currently in first place.
