In the Men’s Championship, there’s a battle between an unbeaten side and a winless one when Waterloo United host North Mississauga live on YouTube. The latter have two wins and a tie so far in 2025, so are looking to continue their unbeaten start, while Waterloo are aiming for their first points after three losses at this stage.

Elsewhere, The Borough will be trying to claim their second win in a row following their victory against Windsor City last week, when they travel to York United Academy.

In the Women’s Championship, Whitby can extend their unbeaten start to the season when they host seventh-place Scrosoppi. The latter started 2025 perfectly with a 3-0 win against Rush Canada Academy, but were beaten 2-0 by Oakville on April 27 and had a bye last weekend.

There is a solo match in the Men’s Premier between Sigma and FC London, who are both still hunting their first wins.

League leaders back in action

Defending Men’s Premier champions Scrosoppi return to the field following a break in their season. They will be looking to continue their perfect start and make it three wins from three when they host fourth-place Alliance United on Saturday.

The other match in Men’s Premier on Saturday is between North Toronto and Oakville. The former are aiming for their first win of 2025 in front of their home support, while the visitors could make it three wins from four to start the season.

It is a busy day in the Women’s Premier, with current table-toppers North Toronto travelling to 2024 runners-up FC London. The home side have had a mixed bag of results so far this season, with a win, a tie, and a loss. For the visitors, it is an opportunity to extend their unbeaten start.

Over in Markham, Alliance United host Vaughan Azzurri in a bid to claim their first three points of 2025, while the away side can make it three wins in a row following victories against North Mississauga and Guelph United.

Defending champions NDC Ontario are on the road for their match against Waterloo United, and live on YouTube, Woodbridge Strikers host second-place Simcoe County Rovers who defeated the title holders last weekend.

The Men’s Championship also has a selection of matches on Saturday, starting with Hamilton United against Sudbury Cyclones. The latter are the away side and have enjoyed an unbeaten start to 2025 so far, with two wins and a tie, while Hamilton are aiming for their first win of the season.

At 7pm, Master’s FA host Pickering; the home side have drawn each of their last three matches, while Pickering are winless. Windsor City then kick off against Whitby an hour later.

Sunday showdowns

In the Women’s Championship, second-place Tecumseh United travel to Unionville Milliken looking to make it three wins from four matches and challenge Pickering at the summit of the standings.

Burlington play their second match of 2025 this weekend when they host bottom-side Rush Canada Academy. The home side won their season-opener on April 26, beating Unionville Milliken 2-0 away from home. For Rush Canada Academy, the aim will be to pick up their first points of 2025.

Burlington are also in action in the Men’s Premier, hosting St Catharines Roma Wolves. These are two sides next to each other in the standings, both with one win and two losses, so this should be an interesting matchup.

In another Men’s Premier game, Simcoe County Rovers are the home side for their heavyweight matchup against Vaughan Azzurri.

L2 in action

There are also matches across the L2 divisions this weekend, including Railway City’s match against Windsor City L2 in the Men’s Southwest Conference. The hosts won their opening game of the season, so are looking to make it two wins from two in 2025.

In the Women’s Northeast Conference, Sudbury Cyclones travel to Woodbridge Strikers L2 in a bid to put last week’s 4-3 defeat to Alliance L2 behind them.

Over in the Southwest, Railway City’s women host Oakville L2, and Cambridge United play St Catharines Roma Wolves. The latter is set to be a game to keep an eye on, as one of the sides could extend their perfect start after three games.
