York United FC retain Trivine Esprit on U SPORTS contract through end of 2024

The 22-year-old has made seven appearances in his second season with the club.

U SPORTS CONTRACT UPDATE

York United FC can confirm the retention of Trivine Esprit on his CPL-U SPORTS contract through the end of the 2024 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season.

In doing so, The Nine Stripes will retain Esprit's U SPORTS rights for the 2025 CPL season. The club will be able to sign Esprit to a CPL-U SPORTS contract next season without the player needing to enter the 2025 CPL-U SPORTS draft.

Trivine Esprit has been involved with the club extensively since first arriving in 2023

Elsewhere, the club can confirm that Christian Zeppieri is returning to U SPORTS program following the culmination of his 2024 CPL-U SPORTS contract.

York United FC will retain Zeppieri's U SPORTS rights for the 2025 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season and will be able to sign Zeppieri to a CPL-U SPORTS contract next season without the player needing to enter the 2025 CPL-U SPORTS draft.

The club can also confirm that Jason Hartill is returning to U SPORTS program following the culmination of his 2024 CPL-U SPORTS contract. York United FC has not retained his U SPORTS rights for the 2025 CPL season.
