L1 Cup First Round schedule confirmed

ProStars and Master's FA meet in the L1 Cup First Round
The L1 Cup First Round schedule has been confirmed with matches taking place from Wednesday, April 17 through
to Monday, April 22.
Two matches have been selected for YouTube live streams on League1 Ontario TV, including Rush Canada’s senior
L1ON men’s debut against Burlington, and Pickering’s first game in L1ON senior competition since 2022; they
take on Hamilton United’s women.
The first game of the 2024 season will be an all-Championship midweek clash between BVB IA Waterloo
and ProStars in the Women’s L1 Cup, and the Men’s L1 Cup kicks off on the Friday night with Windsor City
and Waterloo’s men’s team.
The Borough and Sudbury Cyclones will play their inaugural matches in the Men’s L1 Cup First Round,
after being confirmed as League2 Division expansion teams in the offseason. Sudbury host FC London
and The Borough welcome Pickering in a head-to-head battle between two new sides to the 2024 calendar.
There’s an expansion head-to-head in the Women’s L1 Cup also, as Master’s FA and Rush Canada meet
in a Saturday night encounter in Scarborough.
