York9 Football Club has signed forward Cyrus Rollocks to its inaugural roster, bringing on the
20-year-old striker for the 2019 CPL season.

Rollocks had previously featured for Toronto FC II and the TFC Academy, scoring 17 goals
in 17 L1O matches in 2017, accounting for a goal every 69 minutes. He has also played for
Canada’s Under-17 men’s national team, and last played for Master’s Futbol Academy.

York9 FC head coach Jimmy Brennan hopes Rollocks can contribute to his team’s scoring ranks
right away.

“He’s a real young kid with an unbelievable amount of promise,” Brennan said. “He’s a strong,
powerful striker, and he likes to take defenders on. That kind of player can cause problems
for any back line.

“He’s got massive upside, and hopefully one day he’ll be able to get himself into the
national side.”

The 2017 League1 Ontario Young Player of the Year said the creation of a top flight league
in Canada couldn’t have come at a better time, too.

“I was at a part of my life where I was looking to go overseas, and I realized I can now stay
home and get my first pro minutes,” Rollocks said.
