Gameday Report: August 23, Week 22 By USLLeagueOne.com Staff, 08/23/19, 6:15PM EDT Greenville earns league-leading eleventh clean sheet in 0-0 draw with Toronto FC II Toronto FC II (0) v Greenville Triump SC (0) Greenville goalkeeper Dallas Jaye earned his league-leading eleventh clean sheet of the season as Triumph SC and Toronto FC II played to a 0-0 draw Friday evening at BMO Training Ground. The two sides combined for 23 shots in what proved to be a defensive contest, with TFC II hitting the target just once and Greenville managing three shots on frame. Jaye had very little to do between the sticks, but made his lone save when called upon in the sixth minute of the match, denying TFC II forward Ayo Akinola. Max Hemmings had an opportunity to open the scoring just before halftime when he found himself free just outside the six yard box on a set piece. The right back rose and connected well with Carlos Gomez’s outswinging service from the corner, but his header was right at goalkeeper Eric Klenofsky and the two sides went into the break deadlocked at zero. After a back-and-forth second half that saw most of the action take place in the middle third of the field, Gomez created an opportunity for himself in the dying moments of the match. Receiving a cross from DOminic Boland, Gomez turned inside the 18-yard box and fired a shot on frame, but Klenofsky was equal to it at the near post. The 86th minute save helped Klenofsky earn his first clean sheet of the season. Following the draw, Greenville and Toronto remain in fifth and seventh places respectively. The Triumph are just one point out of the playoff places and hold a game in hand on fourth place Chattanooga Red Wolves SC, but could lose out on fifth place to Forward Madison FC by the end of Week 22. The Flamingos host the Richmond Kickers Saturday night at Breese Stevens Field with a chance to leapfrog Greenville and get themselves level on points with Chattanooga. The draw extends Greenville’s unbeaten run to five matches, while leaving TFC II winless in its last six. Next up for the Triumph is a crucial roadtrip to Madison on August 28th. Toronto will head to North Texas SC on September 1 looking to make up a seven-point gap between themselves and the fourth playoff spot. 4-2-3-1 4-4-1-1 Toronto FC II Greenville Triumph 0 0 August 23, 2019 4:00 PM VenueBMO Training GroundRefereeBen Hoskins Toronto FC II 40 Klenofsky (C) GK 19 Dorsey DF 57 Mohammed DF 61 Romeo DF 45' subbed off 42 Bunk-Andersen DF 35 Essoussi MF 20 Akinola MF 59' Yellow card 37 Waja MF 39 Petrasso MF 53 Nelson MF 81' subbed off 77 Perruzza FW Substitutes 30 Fillion 72 Peters 45' subbed in, 62' subbed out 81 Antonoglou 58 Faria 81' subbed in 59 Okello 62' subbed in 64 Hundal 98 Marshall-Rutty Manager Rabasca Greenville Triumph SC 22 Jaye GK 14 Seiler DF 36' Yellow card 3 Polak DF 4 Politz DF 12 Lee DF 6 Clowes MF 5 Hemmings MF 83' Yellow card, 88' subbed out 8 Walker (C) MF 18 Mohamed MF 82' subbed out 9 Keegan FW 90+2' subbed out 10 Gómez FW Substitutes 2 Boland 82' subbed in 13 Choi Sang-Ryeong 7 Bermudez 88' subbed in 21 Guediri 11 Saul 90+2' subbed in 31 Robinson 88 Ward Manager Harkes TOR GRE 45.3% Possession 54.7% 48.2% Duels success rate 51.8% 52.8% Aerial duels won 47.2% 12 Interceptions 6 4 Offsides 4 2 Corners 4 364 Passes 437 70 Long passes 78 74.2% Passing accuracy 76.2% 65.3% Passing acc in opp half 65.3% 13 Crosses 18 15.4% Crossing accuracy 55.6% 0 Goals 0 9 Shots 16 0 Shots on target 3 2 Blocked shots 3 4 Shots outside the box 4 5 Shots inside the box 12 0.0% Shooting accuracy 18.8% 10 Tackles 18 80.0% Tackles success rate 66.7% 13 Clearances 5 18 Fouls conceded 11 1 Yellow cards 2 0 Red cards 0
