Toronto FC II announced today that the club has signed defender Jelani Peters to a USL contract 
for the 2019 season. He will join the club’s roster pending league and federation approval.

Peters, 25, native from Trinidad and Tobago, joined Toronto FC II in 2017, where he appeared 
in three USL games. He missed the entire 2018 season due to an injury. Peters made his TFC II 
debut on April 7 against the Rochester Rhinos. He was initially acquired on loan in 2017 from 
W Connection F.C. of the Trinidad & Tobago Pro League. During his time with W Connection F.C., 
he made a combined 22 appearances across league play and the CONCACAF Champions League.
