Toronto FC II acquire Yann Fillion on loan March 21, 2019 3:00PM EDT Toronto FC Communications Toronto FC II announced today that the club acquired goalkeeper Yann-Alexandre Fillion on loan from FC Zurich. He will be added to the roster pending league and federation approval. Fillion, 23, who was born in Ottawa, joined FC Montreal in 2015, making his professional debut against Toronto FC II on March 28. He made six appearances over two seasons with the USL team. He signed with FC Zurich in 2016 and played on loan in 2017 with Swedish Division 1 club Umeå FC, appearing in 17 games. During the 2018 season, Fillion played on loan with Nest-Sotra (Second Divison, Norway), making one appearance and spent the last six months with FC Aarau of the Swiss Challenge League.
