Match Recap: Toronto FC II vs. NYRB II September 9, 2017 10:17PM EDT Adam Krueger TFC2.ca Toronto – Toronto FC II fell at the hands of the New York Red Bulls II 2-1 on Saturday night. The Young Reds jumped ahead on a Jay Chapman goal. Jordan Hamilton sent a ball over to Chapman who tapped home the opening marker. However, the Red Bulls answered off a 42nd-minute penalty kick. Lars Eckenrode was deemed to have fouled a Red Bulls' attacker in the area. Stefano Bonomo converted from the spot. Just three minutes later, the Red Bulls' earned another penalty kick as Eckenrode went to ground and fouled a Red Bulls attacker. Bonomo converted again to take the lead. The Reds came out in the second half pressing for the equalizer but were held off the board by a strong second half from Evan Louro. Louro made an incredible stop on Tsubasa Endoh as the midfielder fired a blast from well outside the 18, Louro reached high above his head to push away the shot. Toronto FC II is back in action next Saturday as they hit the road to take on the Harrisburg City Islanders. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM in Harrisburg. The livestream will be available on TFC2.ca.
