The Young Reds hit the road this weekend as they travel to Goodman Stadium to take on Bethlehem Steel FC.
Here is everything you need to know ahead of Sunday’s clash.

2017 Season:

Steel FC has put together a solid sophomore season in the USL, as the second year club currently sits
in a playoff spot with a record of 8-3-1. Bethlehem has struggled to keep the ball out of its own net
with just a +1 goal differential. Steel FC currently own a 4-4-3 record at Goodman Stadium.

Current Form:

WLLDW
Win at Ottawa Fury (2-1)
Loss vs. Charlotte Independence (4-0)
Loss at Richmond Kickers (3-2)
Draw vs. Pittsburgh Riverhounds (1-1)
Win vs. NYRB II (2-0)

Last time we met:

The two clubs met up at BMO Field in mid-May. Bethlehem came away with the 1-0 victory but the Reds
fired 22 shots towards goal. All-time the Reds hold the series advantage with two wins to Bethlehem’s
one. The Reds took both games last season.

Key Player: Seku Conneh

The Liberian international is in his second season with Bethlehem. The forward has enjoyed a solid
sophomore season leading the team in goals with seven and is tied for second in assists with two.
Conneh made his full cap international debut in 2015 and has made two appearances since. The forward
spent time in the Ajax youth academy before making his senior team debut for Dutch side Fortuna Sittard.

Unsung Hero: James Chambers

The 30-year-old Irishman is in his second year with the club. The midfielder has had quite the journeyman
career making stops at 10 separate clubs throughout his 13-year career. Chambers has made 15 appearances
this season, tallying four goals well leading the team in total passes.

Canadian Content:

North York Ontario native Chris Nanco is the lone Canadian on Bethlehem’s roster. Nanco is in his first
professional season following a successful collegiate career at Syracuse University. The forward has
enjoyed some success this year, tallying three goals on twelve shots in 15 appearances. The 55th overall
selection in this year’s SuperDraft was named to the USL Team of the Week last week.

Projected Lineup:

Bethlehem has consistently trotted out in a 4-2-3-1 formation this season.
