Battery aim to snap winless streak in visit to Toronto

VAUGHAN, Ont. – The Eastern Conference-leading Charleston Battery will look to end a five-game winless 
streak when they visit Toronto FC II on Saturday afternoon, with the hosts also looking to rebound 
from a loss at their Battle of Ontario rival in their last outing. Kickoff at the Ontario Soccer Centre 
is set for 4:30 p.m. ET.

Toronto FC II news and notes

•Current record: 3-12-5, 14pts

•Toronto fell 2-0 to Ottawa Fury FC last Saturday night in front of 6,763 fans at TD Place to keep 
the side at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.

•TFC II has suffered three consecutive defeats, and has been held scoreless over that span since 
a 1-0 win against Fury FC on July 8.

•Two members of TFC II were selected to the 2017 USL 20 Under 20, with forward Shaan Hundal coming 
in at the No. 4 position and midfielder Liam Fraser at No. 15.

•TFC II goalkeepers Angelo Cavalluzzo (38) and Mark Pais (37) have combined to record 75 saves 
this season.

Charleston Battery news and notes

•Current record: 10-4-7, 37pts

•The Battery were held to a 0-0 draw on Saturday by Orlando City B as the side recorded its 
second consecutive draw.

•Charleston will be looking for its first win on Saturday since a 2-0 victory against the 
Tampa Bay Rowdies on July 1.

•Jamaican forward Romario Williams returned to action for the Battery last Saturday as a second-half 
substitute, after helping his country reach the final of the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

•Charleston’s Justin Portillo (42) and Maikel Chang (40) are currently the only teammates 
in the top five in Chances Created this season in the USL.

•The Battery took a 6-1 victory against Toronto when they met on June 24 at MUSC Health Stadium,
