The Young Reds return home to take on the first-place Charleston Battery. To get you set here

2017 Season:

The Battery currently sits atop the Eastern Conference with a 10-4-7 record. Their +15 goal 
differential is second in the division.

Last time we met:

It was a game to forget for the Reds as the Battery walked away victorious in June.

Key Player: Romario Williams

Fresh off an impressive Gold Cup which saw the forward score twice including the winner against 
Canada in the quarterfinals for his native Jamaica. Williams has ripped up the USL this season 
with 14 goals in 16 games. The forward had a dominant performance last time out against the 
Young Reds. The forward scored twice and added an assist in 75 minutes of play.  

Unsung Hero:  Justin Portillo

The veteran midfielder is in his fourth season with the Battery. The former Coastal Carolina 
Chanticleer has started every game for the Battery this season and leads the team 
with 1056 passes. The midfielder has created 42 chances, which is good for third in the league.

Canadian Content:

The lone Canadian on the Battery’s roster should be a familiar name for TFC II fans. 
Skylar Thomas is in his first season with the Battery after spending the last two seasons 
as a Young Red. The defender has appeared in 11 games, in 5 starts.

Projected Lineup

The Battery has trotted out in a 4-4-1-1 formation this season. Williams plays up top with 
a central forward playing in behind. The midfield typically lines up as a flat four with 
Portillo lining up on the right of centre.

Kickoff is set for 5:00 PM at the Ontario Soccer Centre.
