Match Recap: Toronto FC II at Ottawa Fury FC July 29, 2017 9:14PM EDT Adam Krueger Ottawa – The final USL Battle of Ontario of the year ended in favour of the host Fury FC in a Saturday night clash. The Fury took an early lead off a corner kick. The ball landed on the head of an unmarked Azake Luboyera who sent the ball in past Mark Pais for a debut goal for the midfielder from Uganda. The Fury carried the majority of the play for the remainder of the first half with the best chance for the Reds coming off the foot of Ricardo John. John broke through the Fury backline but sent his shot off the side netting. The Young Reds came out with a purpose in the second half. Just seconds after the restart Shaan Hundal played the ball into the six-yard box for John but it took a perfectly timed tackle to dispose of John’s opportunity. TFC II came within inches of equalizing in the 63rd minute as Liam Fraser recycled a ball back into the box for Shaan Hundal to deflect on goal. Hundal got a touch to the ball but Fury ‘keeper Callum Irving came out to smother the ball and prevent any further opportunities. However, the Fury doubled their lead on a Goal of the Week candidate from Jose Sito Seoane. Sito collected the ball about 40-yards out, in one motion turned and chipped Pais. With the loss, the two clubs have split the inaugural season series with both teams winning at home and the first meeting ending in a 0-0 draw. The Reds next host the Charleston Battery next Sunday at 4:30 PM at the Ontario Soccer Centre.
