Red Bulls II look to bounce back as TFC II visits

MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The New York Red Bulls II will try to break a three-game losing streak and push back 
toward the playoff positions in the USL Eastern Conference when they play host to a Toronto FC II side 
coming off a victory on Friday night at MSU Soccer Park. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

New York Red Bulls II news and notes
•Current record: 6-10-3, 21pts
•The Red Bulls II fell 3-2 last Saturday to the Charlotte Independence at MSU Soccer Park as a late 
comeback attempt fell short.
•Goals in the final 10 minutes by David Najem and Junior Flemmings pulled the hosts within a goal, 
but New York was unable to find a late equalizer.
•Saturday’s game marked the return to the team of defender Noah Powder, who had made 20 appearances 
as an Academy signing in 2016. Powder signed a USL contract with the club last week.
•Flemmings’ goal against Charlotte saw Vincent Bezecourt record his eighth assist of the season, 
which stands as the league-high.

Toronto FC II news and notes
•Current record: 3-9-5, 14pts
•Toronto took a 1-0 victory against Battle of Ontario rivals Ottawa Fury FC in its last outing 
on July 8 as Luca Uccello’s goal provided the winner.
•Uccello’s goal was his third of the season, matching the Canada U20 international’s total from 2016.
•Toronto is looking for its first back-to-back victories since the side defeated Bethlehem Steel FC 
and the Harrisburg City Islanders between July 6-10, 2016.
•TFC II’s seven shutouts are tied for second in the USL this season alongside six other teams, 
with San Antonio FC leading the pack with 10.
