The Young Reds return to action this Friday as they travel to New York to take on the reigning USL champions 
the New York Red Bulls II. To get you set here is everything you need to know about NYRB II.

2017 Season

The 2017 season has not gone well for the Baby Bulls. NYRB II currently sit outside of the playoff picture 
with a 6-10-3 record. New York currently owns a -10 goal differential.

Loss at Bethlehem (2-0)
Win vs. Saint Louis (1-0)
Draw at Ottawa Fury (2-2)

Last time we met:

This will be the first time the two sides have met since last August when NYRB II knocked off the Young Reds 
at the Ontario Soccer Centre. All-time the Reds are 0-3-1 against NYRB II with the draw coming 
in the 2016 season opener.

Key Player: Vincent Bezecourt

The French midfielder is in his second season with NYRB II. Bezecourt currently leads the USL in both assists 
with eight and chances created with 43. The former St. Francis College player has also chipped in with five 
goals this season. Bezecourt was recently loaned up to the first team for their U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals 
match against New England but was an unused substitute. 

Unsung Hero: Arun Basulkevic

The homegrown player is enjoying a nice debut season in the USL. The midfielder graduated from 
the Red Bulls Academy in the offseason and has played in every game for NYRB II this season. The native 
of the Bronx has made a team high 1,348 passes at an 84.2% success rate. He has added 24 key passes 
and recorded one assist.

Just like TFC II, NYRB II’s style of play mirrors the first team’s style. NYRB II roll out in a 4-2-3-1 
and play a pressing style just like the first team.
